On April 14, 2016 (Thursday), we conducted fuel supply and delivery of relief supplies in response to the Kumamoto Earthquake, which originated in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture. We dispatched disaster response staff to the site and delivered fuel using our own tank trucks to designated public institutions, major telecommunications carriers, and major broadcasting stations in Kumamoto City, continuing our activities thereafter. Furthermore, on the 20th, we received a request for cooperation regarding fuel supply from Kumamoto Prefecture and Kyushu Electric Power, and from midnight on the same day, we began supplying fuel for generator vehicles based in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture, continuing operations until power was restored. On March 25, 2016, we concluded an agreement with Osaka Prefecture regarding the supply cooperation of kerosene and other fuels to evacuation centers during disasters. Learning from the Great East Japan Earthquake, it is anticipated that there will be a shortage of kerosene supplied to evacuation centers and tank trucks for delivery during large-scale disasters. Our company conducted support activities for the reconstruction of Iwate Prefecture for about three months starting from March 23, at the request of the Cabinet Office immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
