Manufacturing of replica parts

I want the same "thing" that I have! Manufacturing parts for discontinued machine tools. Production of and repair parts for discontinued automotive parts.

I want the same product I currently have, but the manufacturer is unknown or it has been discontinued. I also do not have the original drawings. In such cases, please leave it to us. We will carefully disassemble the product you have and take precise measurements of each part to create drawings. Based on those drawings, we will manufacture an equivalent product. Of course, we will reassemble the borrowed product so that it functions as it originally did. (If there are parts that have become less functional due to wear, we may contact you to discuss repairs.) Our company handles products with micron-level precision, so we are confident in our assembly accuracy. We also support the production of metal and resin parts using 3D printers. (We have many overseas procurement achievements for cost-effective solutions.) Please feel free to contact us.

Groove gauge, groove measuring gauge

It is a gauge for measuring grooves. It can accommodate many measurement targets such as groove width, groove depth, groove angle, groove length, groove diameter, and groove pitch.

There are various types of grooves, such as straight grooves, circular grooves, and free-form grooves. Grooves are shapes that appear in various components. When machining a groove, it is essential to check the quality of the finished product. Grooves are generally considered "difficult to measure" shapes. Is the wall of the groove at a right angle? Is the groove straight? Is the bottom of the groove flat? Measuring these with general-purpose measuring tools is practically impossible. <Measuring Easily> The quickest way is to prepare a dedicated measuring instrument (gauge). By having a gauge, it is possible to obtain the same measurement results easily, regardless of who measures it. The gauge is specially designed based on the product drawing and manufactured according to the design specifications. Various adjustments are made depending on the strictness of the thickness tolerances defined in the product drawing and the shape of the object being measured. Since the gauge is specially designed to suit the measurement conditions of the object, it allows for very easy measurement. If you have any concerns, please feel free to consult with us.

Snap ring groove gauge, O-ring groove gauge, E-ring groove gauge

It is a gauge for measuring the width, diameter, radius, and depth of grooves for snap rings, E-rings, O-rings, etc., processed at the back of the hole.

Measuring the O-ring, E-ring, and snap ring grooves that exist inside the hole is very difficult. We will design and manufacture gauges to measure the width, depth, diameter, radius, and other dimensions of those grooves. Anyone can easily measure them in a short time. These are parts that cannot be measured at all with non-contact measuring devices or three-dimensional measuring machines.

Depth gauge design and manufacturing

We will respond to your concerns about measuring the depth of holes and the depth of seatings with custom gauges.

The most common use of a counterbore hole is to prevent the head of a bolt from protruding when fastening structures with bolts. It is necessary to create a hole that is deeper than the thickness of the bolt head and has a larger diameter. Depending on the shape of the bolt head, it may also be shaped like a funnel. When measuring a counterbore hole, the diameter and depth are the measurement targets. <Can it be measured with calipers?> It can be easily measured using calipers. However, it is necessary to find the maximum diameter when the calipers are applied to the hole. Skill is required for accurate measurement, which means there can be variability depending on the person. Additionally, since diameter and depth cannot be measured simultaneously, two measurement actions are required. <Want to measure easily and determine pass or fail> Using a dedicated measuring instrument (gauge) allows for easy measurement. Both diameter and depth can be measured simultaneously, and it is possible to determine pass or fail at a glance. This type of gauge is portable, making it possible to measure immediately near the production line. There are various methods for determining pass or fail, including evaluating with specific numerical values or visually assessing simply, so please consult us once.

Design and production of master gauges.

Based on the product drawings for inspection, we will design and manufacture a master gauge. Using the master gauge, anyone can perform product inspections and quality control in a short amount of time.

The advantages of a comprehensive gauge are that, without worrying about the environment, anyone can easily obtain stable measurement and inspection results in a short time, right next to the production site (horizontally), even if they do not understand Japanese. Moreover, the time required to learn how to operate it is very minimal. On the other hand, while there are benefits, there are also challenges. This is because all of these are custom-made products. Each one is specially designed and manufactured to match the measurement target product (mass-produced items). Therefore, they are more expensive and take longer to obtain compared to general-purpose gauges. Additionally, it is very difficult to leave digital data as evidence of measurement results, as the inspection results are based on whether the plug gauge fits or not. However, to ensure product quality control and quality assurance, such comprehensive gauges are absolutely necessary. While there are increasing cases where they are replaced by CMMs (coordinate measuring machines) or non-contact measuring devices, there are still many situations where management must be done using such gauges. Since they are custom-designed and manufactured, there are basically no items that cannot be measured. However, there may be cases where measurement is difficult or where the measurement values are not stable.

Taper gauge, taper standard, taper specimen

The taper supports both male and female shapes universally. Design and manufacturing are also possible!

■Taper Gauge There are two main types of taper gauges: - Male shape (taper plug gauge) - Female shape (taper ring gauge) ■Precision Parts of the Taper Gauge When manufacturing taper gauges, the three parts that are often guaranteed for precision are: 1. Large end diameter 2. Small end diameter 3. Angle The above applies to both male and female shapes. ■Uses Other Than Measuring Size A method of inspection involves applying a thin layer of blue paste (or blue dye) to the taper section and pressing it against the object being measured to visually check how much of the paste transfers to the object. This method is used to confirm whether the taper has the correct angle surface. Even with the same angle surface, there can be subtle differences in angle at the beginning and end, or the surface itself may not be straight (not an angle plane), making this a comparative measurement method against an ideal taper gauge (often referred to as a taper standard or taper master in this case). This method tends to be widely used in the aerospace industry.

Difficult to measure representative player! "Grove"

[Concern] I want to measure a groove.

There are various types of grooves, such as straight grooves, circular-shaped grooves, and free-form grooves. Grooves are shapes that appear in various parts. It's not that simple! "Angle measuring tool" I want to measure the angle!

[Concern] I want to measure an angle.

When two surfaces are in contact, there is always an "angle" involved. Angles can be expressed in "degrees, minutes, and seconds," or in decimal notation. So, how should we measure this angle? You might remember using a "protractor" in your elementary school math classes. Generally, angles can be measured with a protractor, but it can be problematic in places where a protractor cannot be applied or when precise measurements are required. <Special Angles> 90 degrees is called a right angle and is commonly used in industrial products. Additionally, 180 degrees is referred to as parallel or coplanar, and 180 degrees is also frequently used. Geometric tolerances specifically for 90 degrees and 180 degrees (such as perpendicularity, parallelism, and flatness) are also available. <Contour Tolerance> While tolerances are used to express angular deviations, there are cases where deviations are defined using contour tolerance. When a deviation of within 2 microns from the ideal angle is desired, it is defined as "contour tolerance of 2 microns." <Easily Measuring> Protractors lack precision and cannot easily provide accurate measurements. In such cases, preparing a dedicated gauge is a shortcut. Measuring with a gauge allows for measurements to be taken much faster and more accurately, by tens or hundreds of times.

Production of discontinued items - Part 1 "Dial gauge stand for eccentricity measuring machine"

[Concern] I want a discontinued product: "Dial gauge stand for eccentricity measuring machine."

I was asked to create a dial gauge stand that was included with a discontinued eccentric measuring machine. The manufacturer had already stopped production, and the customer was struggling with the inability to purchase it. Due to years of use, the original stand had become very wobbly, and the customer expressed a desire for a new one, which our company was happy to fulfill. We took photos of the product, brought them back to our company, and after discussions with the design and manufacturing departments, we concluded that "it seems doable." We promptly contacted the customer and asked them to send us the actual item. We carefully disassembled the received item, measured it, and created drawings before proceeding with the production. I believe we successfully completed a product that is undoubtedly closer to the customer's requirements than the original new condition. <Generally, there are no drawings> Manufacturers rarely provide users with drawings of their products. In fact, it is also rare for our company to hand over the drawings we create to customers (laughs). Therefore, there are often cases where we have no choice but to use genuine parts. However, just because it is a genuine part does not necessarily mean it is "user-friendly." If we produce a genuine equivalent with improved usability, we could achieve increased work efficiency while also potentially reducing costs!

Polished with artisan skills! "Mirror finish"

[Concern] I want to perform mirror finishing.

It is not used as a mirror, but there are times when iron or carbide is polished to a mirror finish. The applications vary, whether it is to reflect something, to slide, or to achieve a flat surface. <Will it really become a mirror?> Yes, it will become a mirror. Light reflects, and faces are visible! However, to achieve a mirror finish, the material needs to be hard. If it is not hard, there is a high possibility that processing scratches will occur during the process of achieving a mirror finish. <To achieve precision> A mirror finish has very little surface roughness. Utilizing this characteristic, there are times when a mirror finish is applied for the purpose of uniform thickness or control at the micron level (=0.001mm). In such cases, it may be acceptable to have some scratches (since it is not reflecting a face). <For inquiries about mirror finishing, please contact us> Depending on the required level of mirror finish, material, and shape, it may be challenging, but we will work together to find solutions regarding how far a mirror finish can be achieved. Please feel free to consult with us.

No problem for measuring amateurs! "Depth Gauge"

[Concern] I want to measure the zaguri (sitting).

The most common use of a counterbore hole is to prevent the head of a bolt from protruding when fastening structures with bolts. It is necessary to create a hole that is deeper than the thickness of the bolt head and has a larger diameter. Depending on the shape of the bolt head, it may also be made into a bowl-shaped hole. When measuring a counterbore hole, the diameter and depth are the measurement targets. <Can it be measured with calipers?> It can be easily measured using calipers. However, for the diameter of the counterbore hole, it is necessary to find the maximum diameter when the calipers are applied. Skill is required for accurate measurement, which means there can be variations between individuals. Additionally, since diameter and depth cannot be measured simultaneously, two measurement actions are required. <Want to measure easily and determine pass or fail?> Using a dedicated measuring instrument (gauge) makes it easy to measure. Both diameter and depth can be measured simultaneously, and it is possible to determine pass or fail at a glance. This type of gauge is easy to carry, allowing for immediate measurement near the production line. There are various methods for pass/fail determination, including evaluating with specific numerical values or visually judging simply, so please consult us once.

You can clearly understand the technology of grinding! "Thickness Gauge"

[Concern] I want to easily measure the thickness wear.

The height and thickness of items may wear down over time with use, potentially failing to meet the specified sizes and dimensions. However, if the wear is on the micron level (0.001 mm), it is impossible to visually confirm the wear condition. Of course, it cannot be measured with a ruler either. For simple shapes, the following methods can be used for measurement: 1. Measure with calipers (approximate: 0.1 mm unit) 2. Measure with a micrometer (approximate: 0.01 mm unit) 3. Use block gauges for comparative measurement with a dial gauge (approximate: 0.001 mm unit) <Easily Measure> The quickest way is to prepare a dedicated thickness gauge (thickness gauge). Standard thickness gauges are also available for sale, but depending on the shape of the product and the measurement location, it may only be possible to measure partially, or in the worst case, measurement may not be possible at all. By preparing a dedicated measuring instrument (gauge), it is easy to obtain the same quality evaluation results regardless of who measures it. Dedicated measuring tools are specially designed based on product drawings and manufactured according to the design specifications. As an application, it is also possible to measure the width (height, depth, etc.) of grooves.

Sometimes, even bent things are necessary. "Spline shape production and measurement."

[Concern] I want to create precise spline shapes and measure splines.

Spline shapes are widely used in industries such as automotive and aerospace. Since male and female fittings (joints) are always involved, it is necessary to verify their quality. The measurement points include, similar to serration shapes: 1. Major diameter 2. Minor diameter 3. Tooth surface The measurement methods are also similar. For male shapes: 1. Major diameter: Measured with a ring gauge 2. Minor diameter: Measured with a special ring gauge designed to avoid interference with the tooth surface 3. Tooth surface: Measured with a dedicated gauge using OPD or OBD For female shapes: 1. Minor diameter: Measured with a plug gauge 2. Major diameter: Measured with a special plug gauge designed to avoid interference with the tooth surface 3. Spline gauge, spline mandrel, spline arbor manufacturing

The precision of each tooth is crucial. We manufacture spline gauges, spline mandrels, spline arbors, and serration gauges that excel in inspection and measurement.

< Common Concerns About Splines > Spline and serration shapes are widely used in many industries, including the automotive and aerospace sectors. ● I want to check the accuracy with a spline gauge, but I can't find a manufacturer that can provide one... ● I can only place orders with major manufacturers or trading companies, and the delivery times are long... We often hear such concerns. Additionally, spline mandrels used in manufacturing equipment and spline arbors for measurement assistance often face similar issues as gauges. < That's Why Watanabe Precision Industry is Chosen! > Our company has a wealth of experience in producing spline and serration gauges and has received high praise for our quality. In fact, the most inquiries we receive are about "splines"! We manufacture in our own factory and can respond to various requests. For example, we have production records for spline lengths exceeding 100, and some even surpassing 200. If you have any concerns regarding splines, please feel free to consult us! *Currently, we are publishing a collection of production examples starting with splines! You can view it immediately from [PDF Download].

Really troublesome! "Blade Wear Management"

[Concern] I want to measure the wear of cutting tools; I want to manage cutting tool wear.

Metal blades are used for cutting and processing various materials such as food, wood, metal, and construction materials. New or freshly sharpened blades can cut well, but as their sharpness decreases, the quality of the cut material declines, and in the worst case, machinery can break down. Blades can regain their sharpness through re-sharpening. However, continuous re-sharpening can reduce their size, and in some cases, they may not fit the machinery or could damage the machinery. <Blade Management> The R shape (curved shape) at the cutting edge, the angle of the blade, and the overall length are generally managed items. <Management Method (Example)> To check the wear, press a board cut into the ideal shape or the worn-out shape against the blade and hold it up to a light source. Visually inspect the light leaking through the gap to assess the degree of wear. There are also methods to measure the angle of the blade or the tip R. <Easy Measurement> To measure easily, it is necessary to prepare specialized measuring instruments (gauges) or limit samples (masters or standards). Since they are specifically designed, they can be measured easily and accurately. Additionally, to measure multiple blades, designs may incorporate interchangeable measuring parts.

I don't want to deal with the hassle of removal! I want to measure 'on-site in the manufacturing area'.

[Concern] I want to measure on the manufacturing site; I want to measure on the spot.

In manufacturing, measuring is essential. Before production, it is necessary to measure the materials, and after production, measurements are needed to confirm the quality. In other words, there must always be a measuring process before and after manufacturing. When trying to measure accurately, it can often be difficult with general measuring tools like visual estimation or rulers. However, bringing items into a measurement room for testing can be very cumbersome. There is likely a need to "measure" right on the spot where the item was created. In such cases, preparing dedicated measuring instruments is the simplest solution. <We will brainstorm> Since gauges require precision, it is ideal to use them in an environment where temperature and humidity are constant. However, we are well aware that reality does not always allow for this. In machining environments, they may be used in atmospheres containing chips and cutting oil. Depending on the environment, there can be many challenges, and we constantly brainstorm to propose structures, materials, surface treatments, etc., that best fit our customers' environments. Please feel free to consult with us.

Designed for our customers! "Dedicated Caliper Gauge"

[Concern] I want to measure the diameter of a hole.

<Measuring the Diameter of a Hole> After machining a cylindrical hole, there may be a need to check if the hole has been correctly processed. Specifically: - Is the diameter of the hole not too large or too small? - Is the depth of the hole not too deep or too shallow? Additionally, there may be cases where the hole is required to be a perfect circle. If contouring or profile machining is performed using an end mill rather than simple reaming, it is necessary to check for roundness. <Measurement Methods> In general, visual inspection is possible, but if that is insufficient, the following measurement methods can be used: 1. Measuring with calipers (0.1mm increments) 2. Measuring with a hole micrometer (0.01mm increments) 3. Comparative measurement with block gauges and cylinder gauges (0.001mm increments) However, using general-purpose gauges as mentioned above can sometimes lead to issues such as poor workability depending on the product. By preparing dedicated gauges, it is possible to easily obtain the same measurement results regardless of who is measuring. <Image> A specially made caliper gauge for measuring shallow holes with a large diameter (It can measure hole diameters of approximately Φ1,000.)

Make the rattling new! Return the parts to a flat surface! For overhauls and repairs too!

[Concern] The surface deteriorates due to wear, causing looseness.

<When a plane is no longer a plane> When objects come into contact and slide against each other, friction occurs, causing wear on the objects. As a result of this wear, a surface that was once "flat" is no longer "flat." When it is no longer flat, various problems arise, such as increased vibrations, slower movement, and unstable posture. In a manufacturing line, this could also affect yield. <Was it ever flat to begin with?> There is no such thing as a "true plane." That is the realm of the divine. In other words, something may appear "flat" to the human eye, but it may not actually be "flat." The degree of flatness is represented by an indicator called "flatness." The smaller this number, the closer it is to a true plane. I believe that if a surface appears wavy to the human eye, its flatness is likely over 1mm. Our company can accommodate up to 0.001mm. <How to restore flatness> Our company also performs overhauls on ready-made products and more. We have received various feedback from customers stating that the previously shaky movements have been transformed to like-new condition through our overhauls. Adjustments at the micron level are possible with our specialized equipment and skilled craftsmen. Please consult with us.

A collection of fine innovations! "Taper Hole Measuring Tool"

[Concern] I want to measure a tapered hole.

<Measuring Tapered Holes> There are times when we want to measure tapered (conical) holes. The typical measurement targets are the large diameter, small diameter, angle, taper length, and geometric tolerances. Large diameter: The largest diameter Small diameter: The smallest diameter Angle: The angle of the cone Taper length: The distance from the large diameter to the small diameter Geometric tolerances: Various tolerances such as positional tolerance and coaxiality Since tapered holes often connect to straight holes, there may be cases where we want to measure both the straight and tapered holes simultaneously. It is impossible to measure tapered holes easily with general-purpose measuring tools. Additionally, there may be cases where we want to confirm whether the tapered hole is machined to be perfectly round, similar to straight holes. This means we want to check the roundness of the tapered hole to see if it is an assembly of ellipses. <Easily Measuring> The easiest way to measure tapered holes is with a gauge. While measurement with a three-dimensional measuring machine is also possible, measuring with a gauge allows for much faster and easier measurements. For products where you are unsure how to measure, we can propose a structure tailored to the dimensions and tolerances you want to verify, so there’s no need to worry! Please feel free to consult with us!

The surface shape is judged visually! "Gauge for checking fit / model"

[Concern] I want to confirm the hit.

<Checking the Fit> The term "fit" refers to the degree of conformity when two surfaces (one primarily convex and the other concave) come into contact. In other words, it pertains to how precisely the "taiyaki maker" and "taiyaki" align with each other. <Why It Needs to Be Checked> There are various reasons for this. For example, when two paired objects slide against each other, having a good fit leads to smoother movement and eliminates vibrations or noise. It also prevents uneven wear since only specific areas do not rub against each other. <How to Check> Apply a thin layer of a marking paste (red paste) or blue paste to the reference surface. Press the item being inspected against the area where the marking paste has been applied and check how much of the paste transfers to the item. If the shapes match, the marking paste will transfer uniformly; if there are differences in shape, only parts will make contact, resulting in partial transfer of the paste. <Common Inquiries> Most inquiries are about checking the fit of shapes such as spherical or tapered convex and concave forms. The typical application is to verify whether the shape of mass-produced products aligns with the established reference.

Precision is everything! "Master, Model, Standard"

[Concern] I want to manage it in comparison to the sample product.

<Sample Products for Comparison> There are times when I want to compare the finished product with an "ideal sample product that is exactly 1mm identical." The ideal sample product is referred to as a Master or Standard. The product is compared to the standard (sample product) to evaluate its quality. This allows us to understand the "differences" such as size. Standards and Masters may require precision at the micron level (0.001mm). <Of course, we also consider costs> Even though we talk about an ideal sample, finishing everything to the micron level can lead to enormous costs and delivery times. Our company operates with a "ONE-STOP" approach across sales, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, allowing for close internal collaboration. Based on customer requests, we make selections to propose the most reasonable specifications in terms of both cost and delivery time. <Special Samples> Some customers have needs to prepare "defective products" and confirm quality through comparisons with these defective products. By preparing "commonly occurring defective products" or "defective products that must never be shipped," we can prevent inconveniences to our customers in advance.

If you want to make it easier, you need a dedicated tool! "Dedicated Height Measuring Tool"

[Concern] I want to measure height easily.

<Measuring Height> There are times when we want to confirm whether the height of blocks, bases, and the overall height of products are within the tolerances specified in the drawings. When the tolerances are in microns (0.001mm), it is impossible to visually check the height condition. If the shape is simple, measurement can be done using the following methods: 1. Measuring with calipers (0.1mm unit) 2. Measuring with a micrometer (0.01mm unit) 3. Using block gauges for comparative measurement with a dial gauge (0.001mm unit) 4. Placing the object to be measured on a flat surface and measuring with a height gauge (0.01~0.001mm unit) <Easily Measuring> The quickest way is to prepare a dedicated measuring instrument (hereafter referred to as a gauge). By preparing a gauge, measurements can be easily taken, and the same measurement results can be obtained regardless of who measures. The gauge is specially designed based on the product drawings and manufactured according to the design specifications. Various modifications are made depending on the strictness of the height tolerances defined in the product drawings and the shape of the object to be measured. Additionally, to prevent wear, the following measures are implemented on the sliding surfaces of the gauge: 1. Hardening treatment 2. Surface treatment (e.g., hard chrome plating, TIN coating) 3. Use of carbide materials

It seems easy but is difficult... "PCD/PCR testing tools"

[Concern] I want to measure the PCD and PCR of a hole.

<Measuring the PCD (diameter) and PCR (radius) of holes> In machining processes such as machining centers, forging, and pressing, multiple holes may be processed. When the holes are arranged in concentric circles, they are often processed based on their diameter (PCD) or radius (PCR). After such processing, there may be a need to confirm that the holes have been accurately machined to the specified positions. Measuring PCD or PCR with general measuring tools is quite difficult. Measuring with a non-contact three-dimensional measuring machine is relatively easy, but it is not practical to set it up right next to the manufacturing line for measurement. Additionally, while a non-contact three-dimensional measuring machine can measure the opening of the hole, it is impossible to confirm whether the hole is straight or whether the diameter decreases when the hole becomes deeper. <Easily Measuring> The best way to easily measure multiple holes arranged in concentric circles is to use a gauge (measuring tool, inspection tool). Depending on how it is made, it is possible to check the PCD along with the hole diameter, depth, and the relationship between the angles of the holes all at once. By using a gauge, anyone can easily perform measurements, and the inspection results will be stable.

Upgrade your car's floor mats! "Aluminum Floor Mats"

【Concern】I want a cool aluminum floor mat that fits the light truck owned by the owner.

<Realizing "It would be nice to have"> Although I went camping riding the outdoor boom, getting into the car with muddy shoes dirties the floor mats. Using resin or vinyl floor mats would solve the problem, but they look unattractive. I wanted something different from what others use, and I made that happen. <Our solution> We asked about the model of the light truck and created a custom-designed aluminum floor mat. Additionally, we simultaneously created a footrest for the left foot, achieving both style and practicality. We aspire to be a company that solves the problems our customers face. Even minor issues are welcome. Please feel free to consult with us.

If you have a "problem" there! "Customizing Work Chairs"

[Concern] The seat of the chair is too high for my height, causing my legs to dangle and get tired.

This chair is really uncomfortable to work in. I want to do something about it, but... where should I request help? Furniture manufacturers? Office supply specialty stores? That’s one option, but customization at places that handle mass-produced items may not be possible, and even if they do, it can be quite expensive. We are a group of specialists in parts processing, and we are also a group of specialists in manufacturing proposals. We have countless achievements and ideas for one-of-a-kind items, with a vast stock of resources. We will transform those ideas into actual products and solve your problems with minimal parts and costs! In this case, we designed and manufactured a support post for a footrest ring to be attached to the legs of the chair. Even when the seat is set at a high position, the feet can reach the ring, reducing fatigue. We reused existing parts as much as possible, and only three new parts were added! It’s normal not to know where to request such modifications. We aspire to be a company that solves the problems our customers face. Even minor issues are welcome. Please feel free to consult with us.

Looks are everything! 'Cut Model'

[Concern] I want to create a good-looking cut model.

There are times when you want to cut an item to check its internal structure or to display it at exhibitions. Generally, this is referred to as a cut model. If the internal structure is damaged or the cut surface is not aesthetically pleasing, it is disqualified as a cut model. Therefore, the difficulty of cutting increases compared to situations where it is sufficient to simply make a cut. <Cutting> Our machine tools can physically or electrically cut materials. It is possible to create cut models even with mixed materials such as metals, ceramics, and rubber. <How to Order a Cut Model> Please send a photo of the item you want to create a cut model of (and if available, the drawing data) via email. It would be even better if you could indicate the desired cutting position on the photo or drawing! Even if you simply want to make a cut, we can suggest various methods. Please feel free to consult with us.

Traditional techniques shine! "Template"

[Concern] I want to create or repair a high-quality whetstone molding template.

<Template> Templates are used to shape general grinding wheels for grinding machines. A profiling dressing device traces the template, and a grinding wheel with a shape that is 1/N times that of the template is formed. This is an old-fashioned processing method, but there are still cases where it is actively used. <Manufacturing> The quality of the template directly reflects the shape of the grinding wheel being formed, so high quality is required for the template. Specifically, flatness of 1 micron (0.001 mm) and step tolerance at the 1-micron level are standard. <Quality Assurance> Since the required precision of the template is at the micron level, it is necessary to measure the template itself accurately. This measurement is done through comparative measurement with block gauges. A precise dial gauge known as a dial indicator is used for comparative measurement. Additionally, since the profiling dressing device traces the same spot on the template multiple times, specific areas can wear down significantly. Therefore, it is necessary to check for wear after long-term use of the template. <Repair> Generally, templates often require relative step differences, and repairs are possible if they become worn. Typically, repairs can be done at about 70% of the cost of a new one.

Usable in various places! "Special Scissors Gauge"

[Concern] I want to measure the wear of the axis. I want to determine its usability.

In the case of metal products, materials with wear resistance and heat treatment are implemented to improve wear resistance; however, due to high-speed rotation and prolonged use, the shaft diameter may become smaller or uneven wear may occur. As a result, abnormal noises may arise, and the product may not be able to exhibit its original performance. When the degree of wear is in microns (i.e., 0.001 mm), it is impossible to visually confirm the wear. For simple shapes, measurement can be performed using the following methods: 1. Measured with calipers (approximate: 0.1 mm) 2. Measured with a micrometer (approximate: 0.01 mm) 3. Comparative measurement with block gauges and dial gauges (approximate: 0.001 mm) <For easy measurement> Preparing a dedicated measuring instrument (hereinafter referred to as "gauge") is the quickest way. If you simply want to know whether the shaft diameter falls within the specified tolerance, a feeler gauge is used. It can also be used when determining thickness. Our gauges are custom-designed and manufactured based on inquiries about your products and work environment, allowing us to provide products that are easier to use and more durable compared to standard gauges.

Rapid lead time reduction and quality verification: "Comprehensive Gauge / Comprehensive Mold Gauge"

[Concern] I want to measure multiple locations at once. I want to determine usability. => "Comprehensive gauge" solves your concerns all at once!

When you want to measure and inspect the quality of parts in a timely manner on the manufacturing floor, such as on a parts manufacturing line, or when you want to conduct inspections and measurements during shipping inspections, you may use multiple measuring instruments for measurement and inspection. In this case, there are issues such as the occurrence of human errors and the inability to perform quick measurements or inspections. For example, when you want to measure hole pitch, hole diameter, the positional relationship of multiple holes (coaxiality), flatness, and perpendicularity simultaneously. <"Comprehensive Gauge for Easy Measurement"> Using a comprehensive gauge makes it simple. While it is possible to measure everything at once using a three-dimensional measuring machine, it requires a clean installation environment and results in longer measurement times. Preparing a comprehensive gauge (dedicated measuring instrument) is a shortcut to easy measurement. The comprehensive gauge also has the advantage of being user-friendly (anyone can use it easily). It is called a "comprehensive gauge" because it measures multiple locations simultaneously and comprehensively. The production of a comprehensive gauge requires detailed discussions on the alignment of judgment criteria and measurement methods, as it is not limited to measuring a single location. However, there is no need to worry at all, as design experts provide advice based on various experiences.

The hole inspection is OK with this! "Plug Gauge - Special Plug Gauge"

[Concern] I want to measure whether the hole has worn and expanded. I want to determine its usability.

For simple shapes, measurement can be performed using the following methods: 1. Caliper measurement (approximate: 0.1 mm unit) 2. Measurement with a hole-specific micrometer (approximate: 0.01 mm unit) 3. Comparative measurement with block gauges and cylinder gauges (approximate: 0.001 mm unit) <For easy measurement> To measure the wear of a hole, preparing a dedicated measuring instrument (hereafter referred to as "gauge") is the quickest way. This allows for easy measurement and ensures that anyone measuring will obtain the same results. When it is not necessary to retain measurement values and simply determine whether the diameter of the hole is within the specified tolerance, a plug gauge is used. In the case of holes, if the degree of wear may vary depending on the depth position such as the entrance, middle, or back of the hole, it is necessary to measure with a dedicated cylinder gauge. Gauges are specially designed to match the measurement circumstances of the object being measured, making measurement very easy. To prevent wear from use, gauges implement the following measures on the sliding surfaces: 1. Hardening treatment 2. Surface treatment (e.g., hard chrome plating, TIN coating) 3. Use of carbide materials
