Art Pearl is a spherical cross-linked microparticle polymer produced by aqueous suspension polymerization, which does not aggregate and easily disperses in water and most organic solvents. There are two types of resin: urethane-based and acrylic-based, with particle sizes ranging from 2 to 150 μm. Acrylic-based is used as a light diffuser and matting agent, while urethane-based is used as a tactile modifier and decorative agent. Hollow particles with internal space possess lightweight, thermal insulation, and light diffusion properties, and are applied in the fields of electronics and building materials. However, existing hollow particles made from rigid materials such as silica and acrylic resin have faced challenges of being hard and brittle. Negami Industries has utilized its unique polymerization method to apply highly tough and high-strength cross-linked urethane resin to the shell material, thereby improving handling properties while maintaining the unique characteristics of hollow particles.

This product line consists of two grades of crosslinked fine particle polymers, each possessing characteristics such as heat resistance/yellowing resistance and oil absorption/light diffusion. They are suitable for use as matting agents in paints, anti-blocking agents, and additives for extruded films. - We offer two grades with different functionalities. - HP-1000T is a small particle size, spherical crosslinked acrylic bead that excels in heat resistance and yellowing resistance. - FD-613T is a composite irregular crosslinked bead of acrylic/urethane that excels in oil absorption and light diffusion. - Both are insoluble in solvents and easily disperse, demonstrating performance as matting agents and anti-blocking agents. - Additionally, HP-1000T features minimal yellowing during extrusion, while FD-613T is characterized by reduced occurrence of eye droppings during extrusion.
