We would like to introduce a case study of the "X-ray tomography device" manufactured by RF Corporation. Traditionally, internal defects (such as voids and cracks) in round bars and thick plates (resin materials for machining) could not be judged from the exterior, and internal verification was performed by machining. Generally, PC (polycarbonate) excels in mechanical strength but has a tendency to be vulnerable to scratches. By using high surface hardness polycarbonate developed by Teijin Limited, it is possible to maintain the inherent transparency and mechanical strength of PC while enabling the molding of PC pipes and various profiles with increased surface hardness.
