At a certain house manufacturer's factory, 60 pumps were being used for wastewater treatment purposes. These pumps had been operating without maintenance since the establishment of the factory, and the current condition of the equipment and the degree of aging were not understood. Therefore, we implemented the installation of management tag number plates on all the pumps. As a result, it became possible to conduct planned preventive maintenance (consideration of renewal and repair timing), reducing the risk of unexpected equipment troubles. [Challenges] ■ Unable to grasp the current condition of the equipment and the degree of aging ■ Unable to carry out planned maintenance activities ■ There was a possibility of equipment shutdown due to failure, requiring emergency response *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Company N, a food factory, a large overseas drum-type dehydrator was in operation in the dehydration process. The hydraulic cylinder used in the drive unit of this equipment was made overseas, which resulted in high parts costs when performing equipment maintenance, and the long lead times due to sourcing from abroad were a significant concern. Therefore, we proposed replacing it with a domestically produced cylinder, which involved sketching and measuring the existing unit and creating design drawings based on domestic products. As a result, we received positive feedback, stating that we significantly improved both cost and lead time issues. [Challenges] - The hydraulic cylinder used in the drive unit of the large drum-type dehydrator is made overseas, leading to high parts costs during maintenance. - Sourcing from overseas results in very long lead times. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt a certain waste disposal plant, the incineration equipment was operating at full capacity 365 days a year. However, at one point, an unexpected failure occurred in the crane used to load the waste, causing the loading operation to stop. As a result, the waste delivery trucks caused significant trouble by creating congestion within the facility. To address this, a detailed understanding of the current issues was obtained to minimize damage, and an emergency temporary restoration was implemented using alternative parts. Following that, arrangements were made to procure genuine parts and to organize maintenance personnel for the subsequent repair work. As a result, losses were minimized, and it became possible to carry out planned maintenance work. [Issues] - An unexpected failure occurred in the crane used for loading waste, halting the loading operation. - A prompt restoration of the crane is necessary, and urgent action must be taken to address the trucks waiting for delivery. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationIn a certain beverage manufacturer's sterilization and cleaning process, a large amount of steam and hot water is used, resulting in a sauna-like environment within the work area, which placed a significant burden on the workers. To address this, a method was devised to release the steam outdoors without spreading it within the work area. We conducted a simulation to visualize the installation of equipment based on the data and to verify whether there would be specific benefits if implemented. As a result, we successfully expelled the heat source effectively, improving the burden on the workers. [Issues] ■ The cleaning process uses a lot of steam and hot water, causing heat to accumulate in the work area. ■ As a countermeasure, a blower was installed to ventilate the indoor space and create positive pressure, but due to aging, the equipment's performance has declined, and it is not an adequate improvement measure. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThere is a process for mixing water and sodium hypochlorite solution in the water purification equipment within the factory. The existing equipment was mixing the two liquids in a tank using a stirrer, but there were issues such as "the mixing of the liquids is not homogeneous." Therefore, we proposed the introduction of a static mixer. As a result, we were very pleased to find that costs and maintenance were reduced, and variations were minimized, rather than considering the installation of a new tank. 【Overview】 ■ Issues - The mixing of the liquids is not homogeneous (there are temperature and viscosity variations due to uneven mixing) - Updating incurs costs for auxiliary equipment such as tanks, pumps, and stirrers - Storage in the tank is necessary → there is a risk of decay if not used for an extended period ■ Benefits of Implementation - Costs and maintenance are reduced, and variations are minimized *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationA customer in the building materials manufacturing industry was experiencing rain leaks due to the aging roof of their factory building, which was deteriorating the indoor working environment. To establish a repair plan, it was necessary to assess the current condition of the roof in advance. However, inspecting the roof required working at heights, which led to various issues. As a solution, drone photography was used to conduct the roof inspection. As a result, workers were able to check the condition of the roof without having to go up to high places, eliminating the need to set up scaffolding, which is both costly and time-consuming. 【Overview】 ■ Issues - Conducting high-altitude inspection work without scaffolding violates safety rules. - Scaffolding must be erected for safety measures, but it incurs excessive costs. - There is not enough time to secure the construction period for setting up and removing scaffolding. ■ Implementation Effect - The condition of the roof can be checked without the need for costly and time-consuming scaffolding. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
