Launching rice flour "Raifun" made from rice cultivated by robots.

Sustainable agriculture in Japan! Practicing labor-saving agriculture in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture.

Ray powder is rice flour created by "WORKROID agriculture," which started with the desire to stop the expansion of abandoned farmland. We are working on a system to maintain rice cultivation in small fields and irregularly shaped lands, where abandonment is a concern, by using robots to minimize labor. Moreover, while the consumption of "rice" has been decreasing year by year, "rice flour" is increasingly in demand as a versatile substitute for wheat flour in products like bread, cakes, and noodles, driven by rising health consciousness and soaring prices of imported wheat. Temzac will continue to promote labor-saving agriculture, establish a new form of labor-saving rice cultivation with robots, and by showcasing the appeal of rice flour, aim to expand its demand, contribute to food security, and achieve sustainable agriculture.

Temzack Co., Ltd. has developed a multi-legged robot called 'SPD-X' that performs inspection and repair tasks while traveling through pipelines and similar environments. Compared to our previously developed sewer inspection robot 'SPD1', the stability of travel over sediment and steps has significantly improved, and it can accommodate various pipe diameters and types, making it suitable for narrow spaces outside of sewer pipes and dangerous locations where human entry is not possible. First harvest of WORKROID rice utilizing robot technology.

Temzack Co., Ltd. conducted its first harvest at a field in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, where it is practicing "WORKROID Agriculture" using robotic technology. WORKROID Agriculture is a labor-saving farming method implemented by our company that can be undertaken even by those without agricultural experience. Despite significantly reducing the labor hours spent on rice cultivation compared to traditional farming, we successfully harvested nearly 400 kg per 10 ares of rice. Temzack Co., Ltd. harvested rice for rice flour using the agricultural WORKROID "Raicho Series," and named the resulting rice flour "Raiko." "Raiko" is provided as trial rice flour to restaurants and other establishments nationwide. It is made from two varieties of rice (Mizuhokikara and Fukunoko) cultivated based on a partnership agreement signed in December 2022 with Nobeoka City and Kitakushira Agricultural Corporation. Temzac Co., Le Nature, Ygrec, and Takami Confectionery have started selling dishes and sweets made with rice flour "Raifuku," produced from robot-cultivated rice, from late January 2024. Rice flour is versatile and can be used as a substitute for wheat flour in products like bread, cakes, and noodles. Due to the rising health consciousness and the soaring prices of imported wheat, the demand for rice flour has been increasing in recent years. By establishing a new labor-saving agriculture through robot rice cultivation and promoting the appeal of rice flour, we aim to contribute to the expansion of rice flour demand and the improvement of food self-sufficiency.
