Temzac is utilizing the robotic technology cultivated in an industry facing severe labor shortages to engage in streamlined agriculture that consistently manages everything from rice cultivation for rice flour to its distribution, while also challenging the creation of a system that allows even those with no agricultural experience or from remote locations to engage in rice cultivation. This lecture will introduce the efforts of robotic rice cultivation in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture.

We will be exhibiting at the "JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2024," which will be held at Makuhari Messe from October 15 (Tuesday) to 18 (Friday). This year's JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW will be a business event that fosters co-creation between mobility-related companies and next-generation startups, and we will showcase the next-generation smart mobility "RODEM" in the transformation exhibition theme area. RODEM is a next-generation smart mobility with a universal design that realizes true barrier-free movement, allowing anyone to enjoy mobility without boundaries. Its rear-entry design and seat height adjustment mechanism make it easy to transfer from beds or chairs. Additionally, its high eye level during operation allows for conversations at the same eye level as pedestrians, enabling sightseeing and interactions at counters while remaining in RODEM.

On October 4, 2024 (Friday), our Executive Director, Junichi Setoguchi, will speak at the "NEXT Kansai Innovation Meeting 2024 - 'Agriculture' x 'Future' -," hosted by the Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. Today, the aging of agricultural workers and the lack of successors are significant factors contributing to the expansion of abandoned farmland, which has become a pressing issue. This trend is particularly pronounced in hilly and mountainous areas. At Temzac, we are challenging the labor-saving of agriculture through "group robots" and aiming to build services that are "remote" and "low-effort" using robots. This time, under the title "Challenge to Suppress the Expansion of Abandoned Farmland through Agricultural Robots," I will discuss our efforts towards labor-saving using robotic technology.
