The "Edge Control Panel" is a control panel developed with the aim of introducing IT into production sites such as manufacturing lines. - It is equipped with a Raspberry Pi (a small PC) as an IT device. - All I/O as a control panel is managed by a PLC. The Edge Control Panel has basic functions for integrating FA (Factory Automation) and IT implemented as modifiable samples. By utilizing this, both IT engineers who are unfamiliar with FA and FA engineers who are unfamiliar with IT can develop systems that combine FA and IT. With fanless implementation using dedicated heat sinks, the adoption of industrial-grade power supplies and storage, and optimization of various kernel parameters, it is designed specifically for FA to a level that is not recognized as a "problem" by ordinary IT companies. It has a proven implementation even in large factory production lines.
