Cellulose derivatives Ethylcellulose
Ethyl cellulose is a thermoplastic biomass plastic in which some of the hydroxyl groups of cellulose derived from pulp are replaced with ethyl groups. It is soluble in many solvents and provides a high thickening effect with a small amount. Additionally, its solution has excellent properties such as dispersibility of fillers, low stringiness, thixotropy, and combustibility (low residue), making it useful in various fields, including as a binder for paints and inks, as well as in the electronics materials sector. It can also form a tough and flexible film, making it suitable as a raw material for films and coatings.
