Aphrodi's "Gamut Ring Evaluation System GR-55" is the latest evaluation tool that quantifies the color gamut performance of displays based on international standards (CIE). Instead of simple comparisons using traditional color gamut coverage or triangular area, it calculates and visualizes the effective color gamut for each hue in a ring shape. It is compatible with all displays and next-generation devices, accurately measuring brightness and chromaticity distribution. By combining the evaluation software GR-55 with a luminance meter, it can be widely applied from research and development to quality assurance. In October, we will hold a free web seminar hosted by our company, and we plan to exhibit at "FINETECH JAPAN" in November. We invite you to experience the latest evaluation methods. We are currently offering free loan of the software (luminance meter). ■ Free web technical seminar in October; seminar information will be announced on our official website in early September → https://aphrodi.jp/category/seminar/ ■ FINETECH JAPAN (Electronic Display Exhibition) Makuhari Messe, November 12-14, 2025.

Features of the new product: - The color gamut evaluation can be performed accurately, easily, and understandably. - This is a new method that visualizes a three-dimensional color gamut (color space) including brightness that cannot be expressed in traditional chromatic diagrams, in two dimensions. - The three-dimensional color gamut is sliced at regular brightness intervals, stretched onto a plane, and arranged in a ring shape. - This measurement has been standardized internationally (IEC, CIE). 1) It aligns very well with human visibility and can be evaluated accurately, making it effective for display design development and quality improvement. 2) It allows for the expression of colors in the brightness direction that were not previously possible, making analysis easier. 3) The measurement time is very fast, leading to significant improvements in measurement efficiency.

- Overview Sharpness is one of the indicators that represent the clarity of an image. Essentially, it deals with "blurriness," and being sharp indicates that there is little "blurriness." While resolution indicates the limit at which blurriness becomes invisible, sharpness differs significantly from resolution in how it expresses the degree of "blurriness" or how "blurriness" progresses. Resolution is a subjective evaluation, whereas sharpness is an objective evaluation. The evaluation method for the SMS-1000 uses the MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) and employs the contrast method for MTF measurement. - Trend The trend towards higher resolution and higher quality displays will remain unchanged in the future. Characteristics that satisfy both evolutions are being sought. - Effect Simple measurements will provide insights into display characteristics and serve as effective guidelines for development. *If you would like technical materials, please download the PDF from the link below.
