In this case study collection, we introduce examples of plastic molding conducted by Sangyo Gosei Resin Co., Ltd. We feature cases such as the "Mesh Integrated Mold Air Filter," which achieved cost reduction for insert molded products by realizing an integrated shape for part of the filter, as well as a "Mold with a total length of 510mm and an inner diameter gradient of 0.1°." We provide detailed explanations of the points before and after the proposal. Please take a look. [Featured Cases] ■ Mesh Integrated Mold Air Filter ■ Mold with a total length of 510mm and an inner diameter gradient of 0.1° ■ Resin conversion of metal processing parts - Screw ■ Realization of a slit width of 0.1mm - Adjuster *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe customer is engaged in the manufacturing and sales of stationery and was producing with a slit width of 0.2mm. However, they were looking for a manufacturer that could create products with a slit width of 0.1mm, allowing various viscosities of ink to be used without drying out, so that ink would come out when needed. For this product, we conducted test production of mold components to ensure the strength of the parts necessary to create a slit width of 0.1mm, and we manufactured a mold capable of producing four pieces in mass production. By ensuring the strength of the mold components, we were able to produce a mold for mass production of four pieces, allowing for stable mass production of products and enabling the use of various viscosities of ink. [Before Proposal] ■ Previously manufactured with a slit width of 0.2mm ■ Was looking for a manufacturer that could create products with a slit width of 0.1mm, allowing various viscosities of ink to be used without drying out ■ The following specifications are required to store ink at the tip of the ink pen: - Ink must not dry out - Must be able to store the required amount of ink - Previously produced with conventional ABS, but now requires production with recyclable PP *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe customer was manufacturing screw and nut parts through metal processing, but it took a long time to produce them due to the cutting process. By using resin, we were able to reduce the cutting and degreasing processes. By repeatedly polishing the surface of the screw-shaped mold, we eliminated the release issues and achieved stable mass production. The use of resin also resulted in significant cost improvements. [Before Proposal] - Screw and nut parts were being manufactured through metal processing. - The following specifications were required for the screw parts: - The fitting of the screw and nut parts must operate smoothly. - They must not break. - It took a long time to produce due to the cutting process. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe customer manufactures and sells OA equipment and was considering a non-cylindrical, oval shape for product development to increase filling capacity. However, it was anticipated that the oval shape would have greater release resistance compared to the cylindrical shape. In this product, by creating a mold with a unified cylindrical shape that does not require division, we aimed to significantly reduce the costs associated with mold production and product costs. With an overall length of approximately 510mm and a draft angle of 0.1°, it would be difficult to extract such a long product using a sliding structure in traditional molds. Therefore, we reduced the draft angle and developed a sliding core operation method and cooling structure to alleviate the sliding core's impact on the product, which became a key point in mold production. [Challenges and Considerations in Product Development] - Consideration of an oval shape instead of a cylindrical shape to increase filling capacity - Anticipation that the oval shape would have greater release resistance compared to the cylindrical shape - Due to the expectation that high release resistance would prevent the product from being extracted from the mold, a proposal was considered to divide the different cylindrical shapes and join them through welding - Exploration for ideas to realize products other than the two-part proposal for the different cylindrical shape *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe customer manufactures and sells heating equipment and used filter components to avoid the intake of foreign objects from the air intake. The filter components had a structure where the filter was insert-molded, which incurred costs for purchasing the filter components and performing the insert molding. In this product, we changed from insert molding of the filter components to an integrated molding method using resin, aiming to automate the process from semi-automatic molding by hand to automatic molding using a removal machine. As a result, we were able to reduce labor hours and lower costs. 【Case Study】 ■Before (Before Proposal) - Costs were incurred for purchasing filter components and performing insert molding. ■After (After Proposal) - We were able to reduce labor hours and lower costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
