Organic fluorinated compounds (PFAS, PFOS, PFOA) are a concern for environmental discharge, and regulations are being considered. The Amino Ion AS series of Japanese emulsifiers does not use halogens such as fluorine or chlorine in its structure. - The Amino Ion SC series modifies the fiber surface to provide excellent water repellency. - It is a non-fluorinated water repellent that complies with PFAS regulations. - It demonstrates excellent durability as it is fixed to the fiber through a coupling reaction. - Due to the presence of ionic groups in its molecular structure, it can simultaneously provide antistatic properties. - It exhibits water repellency at lower temperatures compared to conventional water repellent treatments, which is expected to reduce environmental impact from an energy-saving perspective.
