Fukui Canon Material Co., Ltd. was established as a spin-off from Canon Finetech Inc. in July 2017, with the aim of transforming the chemical products business into a "new chemical field business" capable of creating "things that do not exist in the world." As the only organic chemical manufacturer in the Canon Group, our company has been responsible for the production base of chemical materials used in Canon products. We actively engage in contract manufacturing by applying the material technology, manufacturing methods, and mass production technology we have developed here. As a result, we have been handling raw materials for organic photoconductors (OPC) used in multifunction devices, accumulating over 30 years of technological expertise and stable production. In particular, we boast world-class production achievements in charge generation materials and hole transport materials necessary for exhibiting photoelectric conversion functions. Our company possesses various purification methods, such as column purification and sublimation purification, allowing us to provide optimal purification processes tailored to the characteristics of compounds. We conduct in-house analysis by specialized teams to manage trace metals and halogens required for electronic materials. In terms of our development system, we aim for a speedy product launch by considering mass production scale from the laboratory examination stage. We are equipped with laboratory-scale facilities for reactions, column purification, and sublimation purification, and we have the know-how to establish mass production conditions using small sample sizes.

"Sublimation purification" refers to a method of purification that utilizes the temperature difference between sublimation and accumulation of a substance. In the case of vacuum deposition of organic EL materials, sublimation purification is generally performed to remove metal impurities and residual solvents that contaminate the vacuum level. Additionally, when the target substance is poorly soluble in organic solvents and cannot be purified using methods such as column chromatography or recrystallization, sublimation purification is employed to remove impurities and solvents, increase purity, separate components, and reduce metal content.
