ECC-integrated DDR directly notifies the SoC of faults that cannot be corrected by ECC, thereby reducing the system failure rate. Additionally, traditional systems face challenges in cost reduction because fault determination is performed by the SoC, requiring separate DDR for ECC in addition to the DDR for working memory. However, ECC-integrated DDR reduces the number of components and efficiently suppresses parts and implementation costs, power consumption, and EMI.
