All-paper plastic-free packaging

SDGs-compliant all-paper plastic-free packaging

Due to the growing interest in the SDGs, there is a rapid increase in demand for "all-paper" plastic-free packaging as an alternative to traditional shrink wrap and blister packs. Products that use "shrink + backing" or "blister backing (hard plastic + backing)" are mostly small in size, which means they are primarily packaged in hanging formats. Therefore, we will introduce them in a shape that includes a hanging hook. Features and Benefits of Paper Packaging: It is ideal for small hanging products or slender items where increased eye-catching appeal is desired. Shape Flexibility: It can accommodate both vertical and horizontal designs. However, if the contents are liquid, adjusting the weight balance is crucial. Promotional Effect: By securing backing area, it can maintain appeal at retail locations. <Challenges> The biggest weakness is that it is "harder to see the contents" compared to plastic. The decision on whether to prioritize visibility or environmental considerations will depend on the company's stance and practical benefits. However, it is not impossible to show some of the contents. By creating holes on the front or sides, it is possible to display part of the product.

[Exhibition Partition Production Case] Pack Takeyama Co., Ltd.

After three prototypes, we achieved the ideal form! Here is a case study on the production of the Thunderball display partition.

We would like to introduce a case where we produced a partition for displaying Thunderballs (plasma balls) at Pack Takeyama Co., Ltd. The company expressed a desire to expand into paperboard-related products, and we took on the challenge of creating display partitions. We reflected the feedback from the field and made design changes to enhance strength and user experience. We also accommodated changes in product size by increasing the number of insertion points on the top surface, ensuring strength while reducing assembly effort, and received an order. [Case Overview] ■ Requirement 1: The top, back, and sides should be surrounded by black paper to ensure good visibility of the current. ■ Requirement 2: Ensure a space for experiencing the Thunderball. ■ Requirement 3: A structure that can be easily assembled by store staff in a short time. ■ Base paper: Black-black double-sided 400g ■ Format: Partition *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Canned Sleeve Production Example] Takahashi Seika Co., Ltd.

Switching from a cosmetic box to a sleeve type! Introducing examples of can sleeve production.

We would like to introduce a case where we produced a can sleeve for Takahashi Seika Co., Ltd., a long-established rice cracker manufacturer and wholesaler loved in Ikuno Ward, Osaka, founded in 1957. They evaluated our pricing as "cheaper than the current supplier" when compared to existing vendors, and we received inquiries about changing the specifications for the sleeve box. They also appreciated that "Kei Pack is easy to rely on locally." We created sample cuts based on the specified dimensions and made adjustments to fit the actual can. The second sample cut fit perfectly and led to a formal order. [Case Overview] ■ Product Name: Jin no Kura Can Inner Sleeve KP24-893 ■ Material: OK Ball 350g/m2 ■ Printing: Offset UV Special 1C ■ Processing: Thomson, Side Adhesive *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study of Sleeve Box Production] Toyo Seimitsu Kogyo Co., Ltd.

Even for your first package order, you can feel at ease! A case study on the production of retro stationery clip sleeve boxes.

We would like to introduce a case where we produced a sleeve box that can store retro-style clips for Toyo Precision Industries Co., Ltd. While the requests for the four different designs were clear, it was their first time ordering packaging. To align our images of "retro feel," we prepared several reference samples. We discovered an issue where the contents would fall out when shaking the box with the clips inside. However, after submitting multiple adjustment samples, we arrived at the ideal box that securely holds the clips. [Case Overview] ■ Base paper: Coated board 270g ■ Printing: 4 colors ■ Surface processing: Varnish ■ Other processing: Thomson, side pasting ■ Format: Sleeve *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Achieving short delivery times with overwhelming speed! A case chosen after comparing various companies.

We would like to introduce a case where we produced the packaging for a carbonated tablet bath additive for Futaba Chemical, a company specializing in perm solutions and hair cosmetics. They had been searching for manufacturers and making requests each time they needed packaging, and the short lead time was the main reason they chose our company. They also appreciated the ability to discuss cost considerations. The day after requesting a prototype, we brought in samples. Although they had requested samples from about three other companies, they mentioned that none matched our speed. 【Case Overview】 ■ Deciding Factor: Short Lead Time ■ Quality Assessment Criteria: Information from blogs, quality of samples ■ Strength: Ability to produce packaging in-house with a streamlined process ■ Evaluation: Desire to continue business in the future *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

A sleeve box that allows you to experience the unboxing experience when sliding it open.

It is a type of box that gives a refined impression of the action of drawing out and visually emphasizes brand value.

From "just unboxing" to "experiencing surprise." This sleeve box tells the brand's story through its sophisticated sliding motion. The main feature is the unboxing experience of pulling out the inner box from the "sleeve" that wraps the product. The time taken to slowly pull it out enhances the anticipation for the recipient, visually and tactilely emphasizing trust and satisfaction in the brand. The structure consists of a separate type with an inner box and a sleeve that covers it. It can be delivered flat, making storage easy, and can be assembled and used when needed. For memorable gifts: It creates a sense of advanced sophistication, maximizing brand value for gifting purposes. Creating a sense of specialness: It is also ideal as corporate novelties or commemorative items, directly conveying the company's commitment. Accommodating various industries: Its elegant appearance is adopted for a wide range of products, from cosmetics to high-end confections. A package that not only "wraps" the product but also "showcases" it. Why not create a special moment, a little away from everyday life, with this sleeve box?

Reduction of assembly and setup time without the need for separate parts [Box with inner divider]

Just by unfolding the box, the dividers are completed. It's a time-saving design that is ready to go with one action.

"The moment you open the box, the dividers are complete." — Introducing an innovative box with built-in dividers that dramatically changes the preparation process. The biggest feature is its **"one-action setup" structure, where the box and dividers are integrated. Instead of preparing dividers as separate parts that need to be inserted manually, they are automatically formed just by raising the box. This achieves a time-saving design that significantly reduces the time required for assembly and setup.** The secret to its structure lies in the design that extends the adhesive area of the box to fix it in a way that divides the interior. Prevents variation and looks beautiful: It prevents stick-shaped elongated products from falling over, maintaining a tidy display at all times. Smart dual-mixing: It allows for neat separation of two different types of products within a single box. Accommodates all shapes: You can choose a base format that suits your needs, such as caramel boxes, bottom assembly boxes, or bottom one-touch boxes. Recommended for all industries that want to achieve both "work efficiency" and "product stability" on-site, from daily necessities to food and cosmetics. No separate parts needed, reduces waste, and above all, it's speedy. It effectively lightens the workload at your site.

Be careful! Various things about "perforations" when creating a package.

Introducing the differences in types and pitches of perforation processing, as well as main applications and case studies!

There are many points to pay attention to when creating a package, and one of them is the "perforation line." Not all packages use it, but when it is used, it requires considerable care and attention. Some of you may be wondering, "Wait? Is the 'perforation line' really that important?" But actually, it is. I will explain the reasons later, but if you neglect to pay attention to it, it can lead to a finish that does not satisfy the customer, and in some cases, it could even result in complaints. *You can view the detailed content of the article through the related link. About "surface finishing" that coats cardboard boxes with a sense of luxury and calmness.

Explaining surface treatments such as painting and laminating that create a sense of luxury!

A: I want the surface to have a matte finish. B: We have a variety of options like matte varnish, matte vinyl, and matte PP (laughs). A: I want to use it as a tray, but will scratches and scuffs be noticeable? B: Depending on the abrasion resistance, any of them can get scratched, but the strongest is probably matte PP. A: But that's expensive, right? B: Yes, it's the most expensive among these. A: - B: Considering quality and price, would matte vinyl be reasonable? A: But doesn’t it easily show fingerprints? Let’s imagine there was a conversation like this. It seems quite plausible, right? (laughs) In such cases, I recommend "Half Matte." What this is… by mixing a hardener into vinyl solvent, it becomes resistant to scratches and less prone to fingerprints. However, it does slightly lose its matte feel and may sink a bit. As you can see, there are various types of surface finishes, each with different levels of effectiveness. Therefore, this time, I would like to introduce these surface finishes that can significantly enhance the luxurious feel of paper boxes when used appropriately. *For detailed content of the article, you can view it through the related links.*

What is a folding crease? Examples of troubles are also introduced.

If you fail with the fold lines, the lid of the decorative box will come open! There is a suitable thickness for the fold lines.

Many people may not be familiar with the term "folding lines." In the printing industry, it feels like a common term that we use so frequently that it seems obvious, but that is not the case for the general public. In this article, we will explain the term "folding lines" and share an example of a defect improvement related to folding lines that occurred in our company. It is important to know the types of surface finishes when creating a package.

We will introduce you to vinyl coating, varnishing, and press coating!

In the creation of paper packaging using offset printing, protecting the printed surface can be considered one of the very important elements. Introducing the economic efficiency and delivery time of varnish, the advantages of water-based varnish, and the selection and key points of surface finishing!

When creating a box, surface finishing is essential. It plays an important role in protecting the printed surface and is expected to have aesthetic effects. There are varying degrees of surface protection; the choice of surface finishing will change depending on whether the goal is simply to protect the printed surface or to minimize scratches caused by product display, for example. Of course, the same can be said for the demand for aesthetics; if a more glossy finish is desired, the choice will be upgraded accordingly.
