Free membership registrationThe photo shows that the entire surface of the micro ball lens NBK-7 has been coated with AR (anti-reflective) coating. Because it is so small that it is referred to as a micro sphere, coating the entire surface of the ball requires high-level technology. Additionally, there are no variations in film thickness due to the full coating. The coating is done using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). The wavelength bands used in optical communication are primarily 830−850nm, 850-1300nm, 1270-1310nm, and 1500-1600nm. Full-coated ball lenses are in stock. So far, the glass materials for the delivered glass balls with AR coating include BK7, LAH78, LASFN35, LASFN9, as well as zirconia, ruby, sapphire, quartz glass, and spinel.
