Sapphire excels in insulation, thermal conductivity, heat resistance, wear resistance, and chemical resistance. The grades range from 05 to 50 on the AFBMA chart, and the diameters are available from 0.15mm to 1 inch. Additionally, there is also UV sapphire, which is in high demand.

The photo shows that the entire surface of the micro ball lens NBK-7 has been coated with AR (anti-reflective) coating. Because it is so small that it is referred to as a micro sphere, coating the entire surface of the ball requires high-level technology. Additionally, there are no variations in film thickness due to the full coating. The coating is done using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). The wavelength bands used in optical communication are primarily 830−850nm, 850-1300nm, 1270-1310nm, and 1500-1600nm. Full-coated ball lenses are in stock. So far, the glass materials for the delivered glass balls with AR coating include BK7, LAH78, LASFN35, LASFN9, as well as zirconia, ruby, sapphire, quartz glass, and spinel.

Specific gravity: 0.60-0.80 g/cm³ Service temperature: 140°C, peak temperature: 160°C - The diameter size starts from 34.9 mm. - It absorbs almost no water. This material is made by impregnating glass fibers with epoxy resin and laminating them. It is used as a floating material. It has considerable resistance to most chemicals and hot water. It exhibits excellent dimensional stability. It is a cost-effective alternative to hollow Teflon balls. It is susceptible to chlorinated solvents and ketones. It has excellent electrical properties.
