In September 2017, we spoke with Mr. Toshio Baba, Vice President of Oriichi Co., Ltd., who conducted floor sinking correction work for a refrigerated and frozen warehouse using the "Terra Tech Method." The company was founded in 1953 in Imaichi City, Tochigi Prefecture, with the aim of manufacturing and selling wooden folding boxes and paper containers. Teratec Construction Report: Step Plate

Solving problems caused by sinking and cavities! Case study of cavity filling in footings by Teratech.

We would like to introduce a case where the problems of sinking and voids under bridge approach slabs were resolved using the Teratec method. The "Teratec method" is a technique that fills the "voids" under bridge approach slabs caused by ground subsidence or groundwater, allowing for the restoration of road functionality to a healthy state in a short period of time. 【Problems Encountered】 On a national highway in Ibaraki Prefecture, voids had developed under the approach slabs due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The dimensions of the approach slab were 8m x 8m, with a maximum void thickness of about 10cm. Restoration was necessary for safety reasons. 【Reasons for Choosing Teratec】 - Short construction period, which reduces stress for road users due to traffic congestion. - The lightweight materials help suppress re-sinking. 【Feedback After Construction】 Traffic regulations allowed for alternating one-lane traffic, and the construction was completed in one day during daylight hours. Teratec Construction Report: Concrete Paved Road

Solving issues with concrete paved roads! Introducing examples of void filling and unevenness correction.

We would like to introduce a case where the issues of subsidence and voids in concrete paved roads were resolved using the Teratec method. The "Teratec method" is a technique that allows for the filling of "voids" beneath concrete paved roads caused by ground subsidence and groundwater, enabling the quick correction of dangerous "differentials and bumps" in the road surface. [Issues] In the concrete paved road within a tunnel on a national highway in Shizuoka, differentials and bumps were occurring. [Reason for Choosing Teratec] Due to the short duration of the national highway maintenance and repair work, conventional methods were not feasible, so we were looking for a method that could be implemented in a short time. The Teratec method was adopted because it allows for the correction of differentials in a short construction time. [Problem] In a steel processing factory located in Ibaraki Prefecture, the concrete floor sank by about 3.4 cm. Although the factory had not been in operation for long, subsidence occurred, causing issues with the laser processing machine purchased for steel processing, which could no longer operate according to the specifications. For precision machines like laser processing machines, having a level floor is crucial for normal operation.
