HPC Systems Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 3-9-15 Bay Side, Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Hiroyuki Seki, hereinafter referred to as HPC Systems) has started selling four models of its compact "Fanless Box PC Series," which boasts high environmental resistance and robustness, from February 22, 2013. The "Fanless Box PC Series" is a compact, fanless industrial PC that is tough against temperature, vibration, and shock, and supports wide DC power input. The "Fanless Box PC Series," which can be laid out and integrated into any space without considering installation conditions, has been added to the product lineup. The "Fanless Box PC Series" can be used in various applications, including digital signage installed in environments with unstable temperatures, onboard transportation equipment such as cars and trains, as well as various devices and production and inspection equipment within factories.

The EMB-18W5 reduces the hassle of setting up individual touch panels and PCs, minimizes cables, and presents a neat appearance. The touch panel of this product employs a durable 5-wire resistive membrane technology, which offers high versatility as it can be operated not only by a finger but also by a stylus. Additionally, the monitor size features a 16:9 widescreen with a display resolution of WXGA (1366 pixels x 768 pixels), providing ample workspace. Inside the PC, it is equipped with a dual-core Atom processor D525 that integrates graphics functionality, delivering high performance while consuming low power. Furthermore, it is possible to add devices such as VoIP phones and webcams as options. The "EMB-18W5" caters to various applications tailored to customer needs. For example, this product can operate fanlessly, making it suitable for use in quiet hospital environments for medical imaging display PCs, waiting room signage, and reservation systems. It is also ideal as a controller for industrial robots in factories or as a kiosk terminal.

HPC Systems will start selling the tiny-sized industrial PC "EMB-SB104TY," which can accommodate full-height PCI boards in a space-saving chassis and is equipped with the second-generation Core i series, from June 30, 2011. The "EMB-SB104TY" achieves "robustness, long-term supply, and stable operation," combining the latest processing performance with expandability in a compact chassis. Currently, controller PCs used in machine vision, security, and amusement require high processing performance to handle not only traditional device control but also new image and data processing. The "EMB-SB104TY" adopts the latest second-generation Intel Core i and Q67 motherboard, demonstrating high processing performance compared to conventional industrial PCs. Additionally, with the built-in graphics feature "HD Graphics 2000" and support for up to 32GB of memory, performance related to image processing has improved. The chassis also adopts a space-saving tiny size, providing significant expandability for full-height PCI boards compared to its size, making it user-friendly.
