This is a fiber optic sensing system set suitable for 3D sensing and motion tracking applications from FBGS, which supplies FBG strain and temperature sensors using its unique DTG manufacturing method. By combining a dedicated probe with multi-core fiber that has been processed with multi-point FBG sensors and measurement software, it achieves 3D shape sensing and motion tracking. It calculates the displacement of the detected object or its own movement from disturbances and external forces received at each sensor point of the probe, enabling three-dimensional sensing, motion positioning, and tracking data visualization in animation. The target applications are in the medical and healthcare fields, as well as in robotics, where it demonstrates high utility in procedures and tasks under conditions where the use of cameras or image sensors is particularly challenging, based on real-time detection of events and visualization of states from the acquired data. *DTG manufacturing method: Unlike traditional and existing FBG sensor processing, this method involves processing FBGs in the same process after drawing the optical fiber and applying an outer coating material, eliminating the need for post-processing (such as outer resin stripping or re-coating) after completion, thereby ensuring inherently high reliability. The outer resin is typically ORMOCER or polyimide, and it is also compatible with radiation-resistant specifications.

Free membership registrationThe Epsilon series optical fiber sensor cable from Nerve-Sensors SHM is a highly weather-resistant fiber sensor cable that addresses challenges in the construction field related to the application of existing optical fibers and multilayer coated optical fibers (such as alkaline degradation of coating resins and slipping of multilayer materials). It features a composite structure with a thick epoxy resin coating and spiral processing using reinforcing materials, enhancing weather resistance and mechanical strength against moisture and alkaline environments, making it suitable for direct burial in concrete and soil. The sensor measurement instruments used in combination are based on OTDR systems, which have low dependency on manufacturers and models, allowing them to meet various requirements such as new installations and additional sensors at existing sites. The primary measurement parameters are mechanical strain and displacement, with options available for optimized temperature measurement. Particularly strong in alkaline environments of concrete and ensuring mechanical strength, this product is highly useful for monitoring the health and condition of large infrastructure structures (such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and dams) as well as for monitoring soil landslides and subsidence. Recently, its growing recognition and practical deployment speed in the European market have garnered attention.

Free membership registrationDue to the nature of the product, it is necessary to consider and optimize dimensions to match the installation target. However, we offer a semi-custom sleeve and bolt-shaped sensor assembly product that includes several basic specifications that can also be used for evaluation. This eliminates the need for customers to design and manufacture similar sensor assemblies from scratch, contributing to a reduction in the construction period from consideration of adoption to practical use. Installation can also be retrofitted to existing equipment or targets, provided that the conditions allow for work outside of the manufacturing and assembly processes of the target object. All products are designed with high weather resistance, assuming use in harsh field conditions, allowing for long-term use. The sleeve sensor, in particular, is a unique product focused on monitoring the mechanical integrity of rotating shafts such as motors, engines, and turbines, and we also provide dedicated software, tools, and initial evaluation kits for this product.

Free membership registrationADTRAN's optical communication path monitor ALM (Advanced Link Monitor), formerly known as ADVA Optical Networking, can be introduced to existing operational optical fiber communication lines, enabling constant monitoring of their status and health with unprecedented ease, significantly reducing recovery time from line faults. If every time there is a communication line or network issue it requires field deployment to determine whether it is a communication equipment failure or a line fault, that is not ideal. With the introduction of ALM, real-time constant status monitoring can be achieved without increasing maintenance personnel or equipment, allowing for immediate fault determination regardless of the service or application type of the optical fiber communication path, leading to effective fault and failure recovery operations and reduced work time. Line faults can be quickly pinpointed and logged. Leveraging these features, it is also possible to apply the technology to various sensing applications such as intrusion detection and monitoring for critical facilities, flood detection for indoor and outdoor equipment, and temperature detection, for which dedicated sensor assembly parts are available. We also offer measurement software modules and data analysis services tailored to customer needs.
