We would like to introduce a case study on the design and manufacturing of the "Food Packaging Machine (Interior)" developed by Achi Seiki Co., Ltd. This product is a packaging machine designed for packing food (powder) using non-woven fabric. When we were initially commissioned to create this packaging machine, there was, of course, a request for cost reduction. However, since our company conducts machining in-house using machining centers and lathes, we proposed changes to the component shapes that would reduce assembly labor, thereby achieving overall cost benefits. [Case Study: Challenges] - Cost reduction - Weight reduction - Improved accuracy *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study on the design and manufacturing of the "Food Packaging Machine (Interior)" developed by Achi Seiki Co., Ltd. This product is a packaging machine designed to package food (powder) using non-woven fabric. Upon receiving a request from a customer, we handle everything from parts processing to assembly, electrical work, adjustments, and program installation before shipping. The machine was designed with the goal of reducing costs while improving performance compared to conventional machines. We proposed detailed processing and assembly solutions from the design stage, creating a device that excels in cost performance as per the customer's objectives. [Case Study] ■ Customer's Intentions - The customer wanted to develop and sell an integrated machine using equipment from another manufacturer. - They also wanted to reduce the weight of the machine. ■ Result: High-performance components were created without compromising functionality. *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study on the design and manufacturing of the "Food Packaging Machine (Outer Packaging)" developed by Achi Seiki Co., Ltd. This product is a packaging machine designed for individual packaging of food products. Upon receiving a request from our customer, we handle everything from part processing to assembly, electrical work, adjustments, and program installation before shipping. There were similar post-welding processes that required different jigs, and there were challenges related to weight reduction and precision improvement. Therefore, we collaborated with the customer's development team to select and design materials and shapes, standardizing certain aspects such as shape and welding methods. This allowed for processing with the same jig, resulting in cost reductions for the customer's machinery (reducing the number of jigs from 4 to 1). 【Case Study】 ■Challenges - Similar post-welding processes required different jigs. - Weight reduction. - Precision improvement. ■Results - Enabled processing with the same jig, leading to cost reductions for the customer's machinery. *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

This product is a packaging machine designed for the individual packaging of food products. Upon receiving a request from a customer, we handle everything from part processing to assembly, electrical work, adjustments, and program installation before shipping. When processing and assembling, it was crucial for each unit to align properly; however, the reference points were ambiguous, making assembly and maintenance difficult for operators who were not well-versed in the equipment. To address this, we added reference knock pins to each unit and established an assembly sequence, which allowed us to reduce assembly man-hours and improve reproducibility during maintenance. [Case Study] ■ Challenge: Assembly and maintenance were difficult for operators who were not familiar with the equipment. ■ Results: - Reduced assembly man-hours - Improved reproducibility during maintenance *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study on the design and manufacturing of the "Labeling Device" developed by Achi Seiki Co., Ltd. This product is a sub-assembly used in the labeling line for bottles and jars. We manufacture and assemble multiple units used for movements in the front-back, left-right, and up-down directions. Initially, we were creating it by adding processing to the supplied aluminum castings, but we found that it was not sufficiently fulfilling the necessary functions for the mechanism. After providing technical proposals, we conducted a prototype using "machined aluminum" and received customer approval for design changes. By switching to machined aluminum, stable processing became possible. [Case Study: Manufacturing Results] - Surface treatment changed from painting to hard anodizing - Reduced the labor involved in masking for tolerance holes, which increased overall strength - Stable processing became possible by switching to machined aluminum *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.
