On December 24, 2020, we are pleased to report that our project titled "Design, Manufacture, and Sale of Sterilization Devices Utilizing UV-C Ultraviolet Light" has been approved under the Shizuoka Prefecture Management Innovation Plan. Our company specializes in LED lighting. We also handle lighting for events and performances, and we excel in lighting distribution design. Ultraviolet light is also a form of "light." Therefore, by utilizing illuminance design simulations, we can confirm the appropriate amount of ultraviolet light, as well as the time and range required for sterilization. By designing safe light distribution, we can use harmful ultraviolet light safely for people. We will leverage these technologies and experiences to design, manufacture, and sell safe and effective ultraviolet sterilization devices. We recognize this business as a means to protect people's lives and livelihoods in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we will actively engage in this endeavor.

La Porta Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 6897-5 Nakahara, Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, Representative Director: Noboru Katsumi) has designed and constructed a lighting system to illuminate the scenic Mitsushima, located off the coast of Toba, at the request of the Kohama Ryokan Town Revitalization Association, which consists of ten accommodation facilities in Kohama-cho, Toba City, Mie Prefecture. This lighting aims to promote the charm of Toba with a fantastical landscape, especially as the Ise-Shima region gains national attention due to the Shikinen Sengu of Ise Jingu. ■ Implementation Method LED floodlights have been installed on the 8th floor (30 meters above sea level) of the Toba Grand Hotel, directing light towards Mitsushima, which floats 500 to 700 meters offshore. This concept was initially planned about five years ago under city leadership but was abandoned due to costs. Illuminating an object 700 meters away with LED lighting is quite challenging, and several products that seemed suitable were tested. Given that it is for use at sea, the conditions for the products were very strict, including ensuring no interference with ship operations (light pollution measures) and resistance to salt damage. The LED lamps used are high-power floodlights with an ultra-narrow beam angle of 3° and have been treated for salt damage and wind resistance, including the mounting structure.
