When the operator was scanning student ID cards, qualification certificates, and photos for facial recognition, they were setting each one individually into the scanner, which was time-consuming and costly. By setting several dozen photo mounts together in an ADF scanner for continuous scanning, we were able to capture images of the photos and the OCR sections, temporarily saving the photos with the file names. Once the reading of the mounted sheets was completed, we displayed the temporarily saved photos to verify if the file names were correct before final saving, allowing us to scan about 30 photos in just a few seconds, significantly reducing the time required. There continues to be a shortage of workers for simple assembly line jobs in home appliance production, and recently, most of the workers have been accepted from countries around the world. To work in the factory, it is necessary to create an ID card, and the process of entering personal data was quite cumbersome. There are specialized companies that bring talent from around the world to Japan, and these companies create photo templates for workers by entering necessary information such as name and address in Word. These photo templates are sent to the factory in advance, and using an ADF scanner, not only the photos but also the necessary information is read and converted to OCR, allowing it to be exported as CSV data. This enables the entire process from data entry to ID card issuance to be handled without keyboard input. By using the standard Felica card, it is possible to purchase white cards even in small quantities, resulting in shorter costs and time for implementation, and there is no burden of holding inventory for white cards. Additionally, bidding for blank cards is also possible.
