A composite product that allows linear motion (Z), rotation (θ), and suction with a single product. A ball screw is machined with splines, enabling combined linear (Z) and rotational (Θ) motion on a single axis. Since what was traditionally composed of two axes can now be configured with one axis, compact design becomes possible. Additionally, by utilizing a hollow hole, it can also be used for air suction applications.

In addition to standard stock items, KSS also offers custom-made products to accommodate all customer designs. To reduce our customers' design man-hours, we have standardized various nut types.

The motor is directly attached to the end of the ball screw, achieving an ideal structure where the axis of the ball screw aligns with the axis of motor rotation, resulting in minimal lost motion. This is an inexpensive ball screw processed with appropriate precision using a rolling process for the screw groove. It is possible to manufacture a flanged shape compatible with precision ball screws. This can help reduce costs compared to precision ball screws.

Precision feed screws do not have standard shapes available because the nut shape can be freely designed. We will manufacture according to your requirements, so please provide drawings when making inquiries.

Since the nut material contains a lubricant, it can be used without lubrication. The shaft material is made of SUS304 (or SUS303), which offers excellent corrosion resistance. There is a wide variety of combinations of shaft diameters and leads, allowing for a broad selection.

The Rolled MoBo is a motor-integrated ball screw that adopts rolled ball screws, ensuring appropriate accuracy at an affordable price. It addresses the dissatisfaction of conventional MoBo (grinding ball screw type) being somewhat expensive, and resin MoBo (resin lead screw type) lacking in precision. ≪Features≫ ● An ideal structure has been achieved by directly attaching a 5-phase stepping motor to the shaft end of a rolled ball screw with a precision grade of Ct7, making the ball screw axis align with the motor's rotational axis. ● There is no need for alignment between the motor and screw shaft, resulting in a high-precision positioning mechanism and a reduction in work steps. ● The direct assembly structure eliminates the need for couplings, minimizing the length dimensions. ● The Rolled MoBo (TMB) series uses rolled ball screws, allowing for the construction of a low-cost linear motion mechanism. ● It is compliant with RoHS, demonstrating consideration for the environment.

We also manufacture ball screws using various materials for special environments that conventional steel materials cannot handle. For rust prevention, we can produce ball screws with black chrome treatment (compliant with RoHS) applied to the screw shaft and nut. We also manufacture other special shapes.

The SG series has products in stock with shaft diameters ranging from φ3mm to φ15mm. The SD series underwent a significant lineup review in 2010, and we have products in stock with shaft diameters ranging from φ4mm to φ12mm.

In general, the operating characteristics of ball screws are known to be influenced by grease. This is especially true for miniature ball screws, which are significantly affected by the stirring resistance due to the viscosity of the grease. After applying grease, the torque may become heavier, making the selection of grease extremely important. At KSS, as a specialized manufacturer of miniature ball screws, we have developed grease that excels in lubrication performance without compromising operability. We also offer dedicated grease designed for clean room specifications with low dust generation. Depending on the customer's application, the most suitable dedicated grease can be selected.
