The SIS XP, developed by the German company Roland, is a dedicated device for detecting defects in tire steel wire cord materials. This device uses magnetic detection principles to continuously inspect the condition of abnormal areas and splice sections of the steel wire cord material during the tire manufacturing process, and outputs that information. It employs up to 16 sensors and can detect issues such as wire pull-out, overlapping, and irregularities with a maximum inspection effective width of 1120mm, as well as determine and output the status of normal and abnormal splice sections based on pre-input data.

It detects welding defects in pipes, wires, cables, rods, etc., using a non-contact eddy current sensor. It can accommodate diameters from a minimum of 1mm to a maximum of 90mm with several types of full-circle coil sensors.
