■□■ What is Calibration Service? ■□■ Torque wrenches are adjusted and shipped to tighten screws and other fasteners with precise force (i.e., torque) within their specified range. However, various conditions during use can lead to inaccuracies in measurement. If a torque wrench that has developed inaccuracies is left uncorrected, it defeats the purpose of using a torque wrench. Therefore, it becomes necessary to restore it to its original accuracy. First, the accuracy of the requested torque wrench is measured using equipment with proven traceability. If the measured error deviates from the specifications of that torque wrench, the calibration service involves adjusting it so that it can display the original values. ■□■ Calibration Range ■□■ The torque range that can be calibrated at Shinko Trading Co., Ltd. is from 1.25 to 1500 KN·m.

The air torque wrench "New Torque" is a product of the British company Norbar. Established in 1942, the company was the first manufacturer in the UK to produce torque wrenches for servicing the Rolls-Royce Merlin engines used in the famous British fighter plane "Spitfire" during World War II. The air torque wrench "New Torque," developed by this long-established manufacturer, has been improved over more than 40 years to meet the demands of various industries and is considered a standard product of the company. It is widely used as a basic model of power tools in various industrial sectors around the world.

In the field of bolt tightening, when assembling important products, there may be cases where conventional torque tools cannot achieve the required torque accuracy due to factors such as friction or the shape of the bolt and joint. In such cases, measuring the elongation of the bolt or the load using ultrasonic methods is the most accurate and reliable. Moreover, it has been proven worldwide to be a cost-effective solution.

Measurement accuracy is ±3%! It allows for light and quick torque settings, and the push/pull adjustment knob prevents accidental setting errors. The knob is equipped with a hook ring for easy storage and operation. A 16mm spigot type is also available, allowing for various end fittings to be selected. The push-through ratchet head enables torque management in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.
