The "BTA Reamer Head" is used to precisely enlarge holes that have been processed by drilling. It can accurately and stably process deep through-holes from φ15 to φ70 without being affected by eccentricity in the pilot hole. With a maximum length of 22 meters and a maximum weight of 35 tons, we can process hole diameters from Φ10 to Φ700 with precision down to the millimeter. For a 1000mm processing, we can accommodate bends of less than 1mm in deep hole drilling. In the ejector system (double tube system), most of the cutting oil is sent to the head through the gap between the boring bar and the inner tube, reaching the cutting edge area from the outer circumference of the head through small holes in the head, and the chips flow to the discharge outlet through the inside of the inner tube. Some cutting oil is ejected through the slits of the inner tube, and this ejector effect creates a negative pressure inside the inner tube, allowing chips and cutting oil to be absorbed. Since it does not require a pressure head for sealing, it can be easily integrated into existing machines such as machining centers and lathes. When not using a bushing, guidance is performed as a pre-processing step. Intermittent hole processing is also easy. The speed is several times that of a gundrill, and the inner diameter tolerance is around IT10. The capital investment cost is not very high.
