The "plate-type heat exchanger" is a direct contact and counterflow type heat exchanger designed for heat recovery from gas to gas without dust. The plate-type heat exchanger consists of a pair of welded metal plates that are pressed into a wavy shape both vertically and horizontally, and multiple pairs can be combined to increase the heat transfer area. The gas on the heat receiving side and the gas on the heat releasing side are structured to avoid mixing through welding, and the wavy shape of the heat transfer plates takes thermal expansion differences into account.
