Traditionally, the use of oxygen combustion in aluminum melting furnaces has been considered difficult due to concerns such as the generation of aluminum dross. However, our original oxygen combustion program enables oxygen enrichment without increasing the generation of aluminum dross or the concentration of NOx in exhaust gases, contributing to improved productivity. The conventional general enrichment of the feather mouth allows for increased hot water output, smooth startup of initial water temperature, temperature recovery effects, component control effects, and desulfurization effects. By preheating the ladle with a pure oxygen burner, we reduce preheating time and costs. The heat loss is minimal, and the preheating time is significantly shorter compared to conventional methods (oil burners). In particular, the conventional method made it impossible to install a cover (lid) on the ladle. By switching to a pure oxygen burner, it becomes possible to install a cover, which allows for improved thermal efficiency and higher preheating temperatures.
