Sales of the force torque sensor amplification unit "BL RMAMP" have begun.
Our company has developed an amplification unit for force torque sensors, named "BL-RMAMP," and will begin sales in July 2011. Our force torque sensors are 6-axis force sensing devices primarily used in humanoid robot wrists, ankles, and multi-fingered multi-joint robotic hands. The amplification unit is designed to amplify the output from the sensor, and the RMAMP is a compact and lightweight amplification unit developed specifically for force torque sensors.
◆ Product Name: BL-RMAMP
◆ Background of Development: Traditionally, when using sensors in robot hands, it is common to use three or more sets, which poses constraints on installation space when incorporating the amplification section within the hand. There has been a strong demand for miniaturization and weight reduction. Therefore, our company has focused on developing a compact amplification unit that significantly saves space when multiple units are used.
◆ Features: We have achieved dramatic miniaturization and weight reduction compared to our previous products, with a capacity reduction of 83% and a weight reduction of 74%. It can operate with a single power supply (+12V) and can replace previous models.
◆ Sales Start Date: July 1, 2011
◆ Applications: Multi-fingered hands (can be stored within the hand), medical devices, wind tunnel experiments, etc.
