[Cutter Case Study] Improving Product Quality of Cut Surfaces

We will introduce a case study that addresses the issues faced by customers troubled by poor cutting edges of individually packaged bags for snacks and food.
■Problem
Due to the poor cutting edges of individually packaged bags (not cut sharply), there were constant complaints from consumers. Additionally, there were numerous reports of dirty cutting edges, difficulty in opening the bags, and leftover cuts, occurring almost daily.
■Proposal
Super hard cutter NOVAS for food packaging machines
■Results
The super hard material has high hardness, and due to the difference in sharpening precision compared to other companies, it was able to cut the film sharply, improving the product quality of the cutting edges. Furthermore, complaints regarding film cutting remarkably decreased.
■Case Summary
- Issue: Poor cutting edges of individually packaged bags leading to constant consumer complaints
- Key points of the introduced product: Characteristics of the super hard material and differences in sharpening precision compared to other companies
