The new material carbon-aluminum ACM-a is also useful in our manufacturing site.

Our company utilizes the new material Carbon-Aluminum ACM-a on-site.
We cast aluminum alloy (around 700°C) using molten forging technology by pouring it into molds and applying high pressure. Even after removing the solidified casting from the mold, the mold remains at a high temperature. To cast multiple shots with the same mold in a day, it is necessary to lower the mold to the set temperature each time.
If we cool it rapidly, such as by pouring water, it can damage the mold and affect its lifespan. Therefore, in regular operations, we use blocks of ACM-a on-site to cool the mold. For example, simply placing a block of ACM-a on a hot mold can reduce the mold's temperature by 100 degrees in 10 minutes. Without ACM-a, natural cooling would take about 30 minutes.
We recorded a video of the on-site situation, so please take a look.

*The blocks of ACM-a in the video are not specifically made for cooling this mold, so they are smaller compared to the mold, but using larger ones can shorten the cooling time.
