This year, our company has succeeded in mass-producing molds through direct engraving on cemented carbide, a world first!?
Many people might wonder what is the world first. Traditionally, machining cemented carbide required "very expensive special machining centers and special tools, making it a costly process with limited shapes and precision." Therefore, it was common knowledge that machining cemented carbide was done through electrical discharge machining.
Our company has been conducting research for many years with the goal of mass-producing cemented carbide molds at low cost. Recently, we have made advancements in machine tools and improvements to the tools used, allowing us to achieve this goal.
As a result, we believe we can compete with the costs of Chinese manufacturers. We are now aiming to expand our sales in China. Although there is a handicap of high labor costs for manufacturing in Japan, we are determined to continue manufacturing in Japan by developing new technologies based on the expertise we have cultivated over the years.
