Beads made from plant-derived, biodegradable resin PLA (polylactic acid) are foamed using a unique extrusion foaming technology developed by Plasteco, which utilizes low environmental impact inert gases (CO2, N2) and are then steam-formed into block and board shapes. They can be processed into your desired shape through cutting and other methods! They can be used as an alternative to traditional expanded polystyrene for packaging materials and cushioning, as well as for three-dimensional objects and display items. High expansion foaming with a safe and inexpensive foaming agent (inert gas) also allows for a reduction in raw materials! PLA resin, which has a high raw material cost, can be foamed and molded at a low cost.
