Information on the service for measuring the thermal conductivity of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (hereinafter referred to as CFRP) is a composite material reinforced with carbon fibers and resin.
The evaluation of thermal properties of CFRP is important to ensure the durability and safety of the material. Measuring thermal conductivity supports design according to the environment in which CFRP is used and helps predict the effects of temperature changes. Particularly when considering use under high-temperature conditions, information regarding thermal conductivity contributes to reducing the risk of product degradation and improving reliability.
However, accurate measurements are not easily achieved with general thermal conductivity measurement devices. This is because CFRP materials exhibit significant differences in thermal conductivity between the thickness direction and the plane direction due to their structure.
In this regard, our "ThermoWave Analyzer TA" allows for easy and accurate measurement of thermal conductivity of CFRP. It is possible to continuously measure thermal conductivity in both the thickness direction and the plane direction with ease.
