The tool management system of Yoshikawa Systec utilizes RFID (IC tags) to facilitate the easy and accurate handling of equipment and tools for taking out, returning, and collecting. By enabling bulk reading with RFID, it dramatically improves the efficiency of the taking out and returning processes.
When taking out or returning tools, they are read and registered with a reader, allowing any forgotten tools to be displayed in a list, which helps prevent accidents caused by leaving tools behind (such as foreign object contamination). If tools cannot be found, a search function can be used to locate them.
Additionally, the reservation management feature prevents double bookings. Reservations are not mandatory, so tools can also be taken out without a reservation.
