Seiko Epson is offering a free collection of successful case studies on improving complex logistics operations and logistics hubs!

Seiko Epson Corporation announced its "Environmental Vision 2050" in June 2008, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the product and service lifecycle to one-tenth by 2050, and actively engages in environmental activities such as restoring and conserving biodiversity in collaboration with local communities. Since June 2009, the company has also initiated joint delivery operations with Epson Sales Corporation and Canon Marketing Japan Inc., expanding its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities across the group, with the goal of reducing CO2 emissions and improving logistics efficiency. As part of these efforts, the company is fundamentally reassessing the current state of its dispersed warehouses and logistics in Japan to reform its operations, enabling faster and more accurate delivery of Epson products to all customers. ■We are offering a free collection of successful case studies that cover initiatives by such companies that are resilient in the face of recession.■

Since 2000, we have implemented the logistics improvement system "RaLC" from CEC, utilizing it in the logistics system department for proposals and in the production technology department for optimizing production line verification. Since April 2010, by introducing CEC's logistics improvement system "RaLC," we have been able to monitor the position and movement of forklifts in real-time. The innovative simulator tool RaLC has been enhanced with many new features. The new feature "Logistics Workflow" standardizes all processes including "Receiving," "Storage," "Picking," "Inspection," "Sorting," and "Shipping," eliminating complex modeling tasks. With intuitive operability and workflow functions specialized for logistics operations, RaLC has evolved even further. There is a CSV automatic generation feature that allows existing data such as receiving data and picking data to be used as is, and initial inventory data is also automatically generated from picking data. There is no longer a need to manually add sorting data settings to the simulation master file.

Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Basic Authentication in Client Submission (SMTP Authentication) for Exchange Online between March and April 2026.
