Seiko Epson Corporation announced its "Environmental Vision 2050" in June 2008, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the product and service lifecycle to one-tenth by 2050, and actively engages in environmental activities such as restoring and conserving biodiversity in collaboration with local communities. Since June 2009, the company has also initiated joint delivery operations with Epson Sales Corporation and Canon Marketing Japan Inc., expanding its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities across the group, with the goal of reducing CO2 emissions and improving logistics efficiency. Komatsu, a leader in construction and heavy machinery worldwide under the "KOMATSU" brand, is focused on improving quality, reliability, and production efficiency by harnessing the power of identifying challenges on-site (on-site capability). To visualize the diverse range of vehicle types and specifications produced, and to quickly and accurately grasp improvement opportunities, the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is essential. Since 2000, we have implemented the logistics improvement system "RaLC" from CEC, utilizing it in the logistics system department for proposals and in the production technology department for optimizing production line verification. Since April 2010, by introducing CEC's logistics improvement system "RaLC," we have been able to monitor the position and movement of forklifts in real-time. The innovative simulator tool RaLC introduces many new features! Achieving efficiency in logistics processes with the "Logistics Workflow."

The innovative simulator tool RaLC has been enhanced with many new features. The new feature "Logistics Workflow" standardizes all processes including "Receiving," "Storage," "Picking," "Inspection," "Sorting," and "Shipping," eliminating complex modeling tasks. With intuitive operability and workflow functions specialized for logistics operations, RaLC has evolved even further. There is a CSV automatic generation feature that allows existing data such as receiving data and picking data to be used as is, and initial inventory data is also automatically generated from picking data. There is no longer a need to manually add sorting data settings to the simulation master file.

● The production time for casting prototypes can be shortened! Since model production is not required, the time needed to create prototypes, which previously took about a month, can be significantly reduced. ● Model costs can be reduced! By directly producing sand molds from 3D data, there is no need for model production costs. If changes to the model are necessary, they can be addressed by modifying the 3D data. ● Similar products with different shapes and dimensions can be prototyped simultaneously! With one molding process, different products with similar shapes or varying dimensions can be molded at the same time. This allows for the verification of multiple types in a short period.

The "Mechanical Stitching Method" by Nichinichisui Road Machinery Co., Ltd. is a new technique that allows for the repair of metal cracks without the application of heat. By using special bolts and reinforcement plates, cracks are physically removed, and repairs are made without causing any thermal impact to the base material.
