August 25 Webinar "Industrial Scale-Up of Separation Processes and Energy-Saving Know-How"
Chemical processes have reaction equipment as their core, but the treatment of unreacted materials and by-products requires separation processes. Typical processes include distillation, extraction, and adsorption. In industrial scale-up, obtaining fundamental data, conducting bench experiments, simulations, and pilot demonstrations are necessary. The speaker has a series of practical experiences in the research and development department of a major chemical company regarding these technology developments, and will share scale-up know-how and energy-saving project implementation, taking into account failure cases, with researchers and engineers who are about to challenge the scale-up of separation processes and energy conservation. Additionally, the speaker will teach the use of the chemical process simulator free software COCO/ChemSep, which is essential for practical considerations, as well as pinch technology as an energy-saving method in process industries.
