In this seminar, we will hear from a current designer at a parts manufacturer about "Key Points for Actual Measurements Using Thermocouples and Heat Flow Sensors," and we will introduce Toyota's high-sensitivity heat flow sensor "Energy Flow." Additionally, as a case study for verifying the discrepancies between actual measurements and analysis, we will present the thermal analysis of the heat flow sensor demonstration kit and its considerations. "Energy flow" refers to a sensor that can only detect convective heat dissipation. While a heat flow sensor measures the combined heat flux of radiation and convection, the convective heat dissipation sensor outputs only the heat flux from convection! Due to differences in the emissivity of the sensor surface, it becomes possible to separate the heat dissipation into convective and radiative components.
