Universal Fluorine Grease for Molds (M-MLPT) Q&A
Q. We expect effects in preventing or reducing oxidation and sulfide formation at the contact points, but what about the components?
A. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our product "M-MLPT." The rust inhibitor included in this product is an organic rust additive that primarily adsorbs to metal surfaces and stabilizes the passive film, thereby suppressing the progression of oxidation and sulfide formation. In particular, for copper and copper alloy contacts, it is designed to prevent the formation of surface oxide films, thereby avoiding an increase in contact resistance and maintaining stable conductivity over the long term.
However, it does not actively remove existing oxide films as a reducing agent, and its formulation is fundamentally aimed at "preventing the progression of new oxidation and sulfide formation." Therefore, for contacts that have already undergone significant oxidation, we recommend cleaning and removal treatment prior to use.
