AlixPartners announces the "2025 Top 100 Suppliers."
Tokyo, October 15, 2025 - (JCN Newswire) - Global consulting firm AlixPartners has announced the "2025 Top 100 Suppliers Survey" targeting automotive suppliers worldwide.
The survey revealed that while many supplier companies were able to maintain profit margins similar to the previous year, their sales significantly decreased due to a decline in demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and other factors. Notably, amidst increasing downward pressure in Japan, North America, and Europe, China's growth stands out.
Asuka Takano, Senior Vice President of AlixPartners, stated:
"This survey has yielded very harsh results for Japanese suppliers. The position of Japanese companies, which have ranked among the world's top alongside Europe, has declined. Chinese suppliers, who are honing their technological capabilities in the electronics and software sectors in addition to their high price competitiveness, are emerging. There is a need for adaptability to make significant decisions early, such as local production and investments to incorporate high-value-added components and systems, in light of rising protectionism."
