Magazine meeting: Scalable flow chemistry?
This is a story about a device for synthesis called electrochemical synthesis. In this research example, I was very interested in how the reaction vessel was made more efficient and how flow chemistry could be applied. Until now, scaling up flow chemistry has been a significant challenge. So far, it has been common to address this by using a numbering-up approach, where multiple very small devices are operated simultaneously without making each individual device larger. However, this research example seems promising in that the devices and flow paths can be scaled up as they are. For more details, please see the link below:
