Each component manufacturer publishes its own component data on the EPLAN Data Portal. Therefore, you can directly access device and component data from EPLAN software. This significantly reduces the effort required to create component data and additional data needed during manufacturing, while also improving document quality. This document summarizes the registration status of the EPLAN Data Portal, which is updated monthly.

EPLAN Electric P8 is a 3D electrical design CAD solution specialized in streamlining electrical design for plants, machinery, equipment, and control panels. It standardizes electrical design, making design tasks, report creation, and management of design data easier. When creating circuit diagrams using general-purpose CAD, a lot of manual work occurs, such as preparing symbols, manually drawing connections between symbols, and copying and pasting parts lists into another software. The more manual work involved, the higher the probability of errors, which in turn increases the need for rework. EPLAN's comprehensive electrical design CAD aims to ease the design process by having software perform tasks that electrical designers used to do manually. 2D Electrical Design vs 3D Electrical Design: A Comparison of Control Panel Production Two-dimensional circuit diagrams are used for the manufacturing of control panels and wiring of cables. Where on the mounting plate are components or holes needed? Where should cable ducts, DIN rails, and terminals be installed? Often, the manufacturing of panels progresses based on the technology and know-how of panel manufacturers. However, due to labor shortages and the retirement of skilled technicians, it may become impossible to produce control panels in the same way as before. EPLAN utilizes 3D data of components used at the electrical design stage to create circuit diagrams. Once the circuit diagram is completed, not only is a list of necessary components compiled, but layout design of the control panel can also be performed using the 3D data. Before manufacturing the control panel, detailed information can be checked, such as whether all components will fit, if the size is too large, whether there are any interferences, and what the required cable lengths are.

[Key Lecture Content] With the increase in renewable energy, the introduction of energy storage systems has progressed in two forms: renewable energy co-located systems to adjust power generation fluctuations, and demand co-located systems to secure electricity during grid outages. However, the landscape is changing significantly. The "Supply and Demand Adjustment Market" has been established by OCTTO (Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators), and particularly due to the continued high pricing agreements in the short-term response market (primary adjustment power responding within 10 seconds), there have been numerous cases where battery storage profits are secured through market transactions. In the grid energy storage business, two capabilities are required: "trading power" and "financial power." This lecture will explain the business structure and key points of profitability. Additionally, based on this business structure, we will classify the companies entering the grid energy storage business and organize the market structure of this sector.
