We have housed the MELSEC Q series sequencer in a pressure-resistant explosion-proof box and obtained domestic explosion-proof certification. Electrical equipment used in hazardous locations, even if certified for explosion-proof use overseas such as IECEx or ATEX, cannot be used in Japan without undergoing domestic explosion-proof testing. This product has obtained domestic explosion-proof certification (TIIS certification) and can be safely used in explosion-proof areas. If the power supply ratings and other standards are met, it is possible to replace units from the Q series that are not standard. It is ideal for replacing conventional air purge panels and similar equipment. Since it can control external devices such as solenoid valves in hazardous locations, replacing the control unit of existing equipment with this product makes it easier to achieve explosion-proof compliance. Additionally, it can accept inputs from sensors and measuring instruments, allowing for easy construction of data collection systems in hazardous locations. If the detection location is in an explosion-proof area and the amplifier cannot be placed nearby, there is a method to extend it by ordering a fiber unit, but there are the following disadvantages: 1. If the distance between the detection location and the amplifier is long, the light may attenuate, making accurate detection impossible. 2. There are labor and costs associated with wiring fragile photoelectric tubes over long distances. In such cases, please consider this product. This product houses the power supply and amplifier in a pressure-resistant explosion-proof box and has obtained domestic explosion-proof certification (TIIS), allowing for detection at close range without light attenuation. ■ This is a pressure-resistant explosion-proof type of fiber optic photoelectric sensor that could not be used in hazardous locations before. ■ It can be used for accurate presence detection and for detecting the rotation speed of rotating bodies in explosion-proof areas. ■ Up to three sets of amplifiers and fiber units can be housed.
