Can you see hydrogen? A fail-safe tool for hydrogen gas.

Even in an anaerobic environment, detectors that can "visualize hydrogen" can be combined with a multi-channel synchronous measurement system to enable the confirmation of hydrogen gas behavior/distribution in space, supporting the establishment of a safe hydrogen leak detection system. The visualization of hydrogen gas in the target space allows for the numerical confirmation of leaked hydrogen, aiding in the optimal design and shape verification of enclosures. It is also used to verify the installation positions of commercially available hydrogen sensors. By feeding back measured data into CDF and other formats, even more accurate analyses can be achieved. The advanced research institute ISAS/JAXA has adopted our hydrogen visualization system in the development of next-generation rocket hydrogen engines.

By assigning the measured data from spatial/area measurements to spatial coordinate axes (XYZ axes), we visualize three-dimensional space and synchronize it with the time axis, resulting in an "intuitively understandable" spatial representation. The RNP-45 is a surface mount power film resistor designed to be compatible with the TO-252 package, weighing only 0.33 grams, with a thermal resistance of 3.0°C/W and a rated power of 45W. The resistive element is a pulse-resistant thick film, featuring excellent high-frequency characteristics with a reactance component of 2.7pF and 14.7nH, while also having a pulse power performance of 1kW-1µs despite its small size. The operating temperature range is from -55 °C to +175 °C. Additionally, it incorporates several design features, such as the removal of the metal flange to maximize the thermal performance of the resistor, compatibility with standard reflow SAC solder joints instead of wire bond connections, making it suitable for automatic mounting, an increased resistive element area to enhance surge performance, and the adoption of a 0.8mm substrate to strengthen bending stress.
