High-performance software capable of simultaneously simulating electromagnetic fields and particles joins the Altair Partner Alliance.

Altair Engineering Inc. (Nasdaq: ALTR) announced the addition of Tech-X's VSim to the Altair Partner Alliance (APA) software products. VSim is a numerical analysis application that can simulate the electromagnetic fields in spaces where complex structures and charged particle motion exist. It supports ultra-parallel computing using tens of thousands of processor cores, allowing for the modeling of complex shapes and various physical phenomena, and obtaining computational results within practical timeframes.
Professor Jim Browning from Boise State University, who currently uses VSim, stated, "The FDTD-PIC simulation of VSim not only has powerful parallel computing capabilities but is also designed to be user-friendly for researchers who are not familiar with advanced simulation setups, which has been beneficial for magnetron research."
