Fukui Prefectural Industrial Technology Center introduces HyperWorks for robot development support projects.

The Fukui Prefectural Industrial Technology Center will introduce Altair Engineering's CAE software HyperWorks to implement seamless support projects from the discovery of needs of companies in Fukui Prefecture to research and development, practical application, productization, and commercialization in the fields of aerospace, life sciences, and robotics.
In March of this year, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), and Fukui Prefecture signed a tripartite collaboration agreement. Based on this agreement, we will develop a robotics development facility within the Fukui Prefectural Industrial Technology Center, support the introduction of robotics technology for local companies, and conduct pioneering robotics development combining IoT and AI technologies.
HyperWorks is a CAE software package capable of analysis in complex areas such as structural analysis, thermal fluid analysis, multi-body dynamics, and dynamic optimization calculations. It is widely used in the development of industrial robots and machine tools in Japan, and in the aerospace industry, it is utilized worldwide as optimization calculation software to achieve the development and weight reduction of cutting-edge composite products.
