[September 6 (Thursday) Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture] Seminar introducing the general-purpose powder analysis tool "Rocky DEM" and the latest DEM technology.

We will explain, along with examples, high-speed calculations using non-spherical particles and coupling analysis with ANSYS tools.
The prediction of powder behavior is increasingly in demand in various industrial sectors, including mining, civil engineering, food, and healthcare. There are many technical challenges, such as modeling particle shapes, the number of particles that can be handled, reducing computation time, and coupling with simulations from other fields. The general-purpose powder analysis tool "Rocky DEM" provides the latest discrete element method technology that can broadly meet the analysis needs in design fields through high-precision modeling of non-spherical particles, high-speed calculations using GPUs, and coupling analysis with ANSYS tools. In this seminar, engineers from ESSS, the developer of Rocky DEM, along with our company, will provide information to help you understand the features of Rocky DEM and the latest DEM technology, from an overview of Rocky DEM to an explanation of the underlying discrete element method technology, application examples, and the introduction of new features in the latest version.
