Temposonics offers excellent non-contact absolute displacement sensors using magnetostrictive technology, which serve as alternatives to traditional linear potentiometers, linear encoders, and rotary encoders. This absolute position sensor is an ideal solution for monitoring and controlling machines that perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical positioning. Additionally, the sensor head is equipped with a uniquely developed high-performance LSI, allowing for not only position detection but also the detection of movement speed, enabling the provision of a complete operational profile of the machine. It can compare a user-defined target value with the actual position using a single sensor and can simultaneously measure the position at up to 30 locations. Many other features are also included. Due to these characteristics, it is adopted in various applications such as industrial equipment, robotics, welding, medical devices, and wind and wave power generation.

The Temposonics T series is a linear displacement sensor that can be used in hazardous locations and safe area applications. In addition to analog output, it includes CANbus output and has obtained certifications for the Japanese and Russian markets. It has already received ATEX, IECEx, NEC, and CEC certifications, and meets the safety integrity level SIL 2 standards. It is robust and durable against harsh environments such as shock, vibration, and temperature. It can be applied to hazardous areas classified as Class I, II, III, Division 1, 2, Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G, as well as Zone 0/1, 21, and 22. The operating temperature range for standard products is -40 to +75 °C, and for SIL 2 compliant products, it is -40 to +85 °C, with outputs of analog 4-20mA and CANbus.
