We have developed the 'DT Series' floating connector with a 0.5mm pitch that supports high-speed transmission, featuring a stack height of 25mm. It ensures a high floating amount of ±1.0mm in the XY direction, enabling high-speed serial transmission equivalent to 8Gbps. 0.5mm pitch floating connector "DY Series"

The "DY series" features a 0.5mm pitch and a narrow pitch while ensuring a floating amount of ±0.5mm in the XY direction. Its compact size and large displacement contribute to the miniaturization of equipment. The effective mating length is secured at 1.25mm, making it a user-friendly product that boasts stable contact. Additionally, it offers the option to choose whether or not to include positioning bosses, as well as features that ensure a suction surface during automatic mounting. The floating side connector is composed of two parts: the contact section (movable part) and the soldering section (fixed side), which are connected by contacts. When the contact section moves, a load is applied to the soldering section; however, by attaching fixing brackets to both ends of the insulator, the structure is designed to reduce this load. Small Floating Connector 0.4mm Pitch Floating Connector DU Series

The DU series is a 0.4mm pitch floating connector. It achieves productization with the industry's smallest contact pitch of 0.4mm for floating connectors. When compared to our 0.5mm pitch floating connector DY series, the board space occupied is reduced by approximately 48% for the plug and about 31% for the receptacle. Despite the 0.4mm pitch, it allows for ±0.4mm movement in the XY direction, which can absorb assembly tolerance deviations in equipment. The mounting method is vertical direct connection. The contact area on the plug side has an arc shape, similar to the DY series, making it difficult to catch foreign objects. The receptacle eliminates terminal exposure on the bottom surface, preventing foreign object intrusion and allowing for pattern wiring at the contact bottom. The effective mating length of the DU series is 1.2mm, ensuring reliability during mating. The contact method is a contact cantilever type. The number of contacts can expand up to 200, compared to a maximum of 140 in the DY series. For 200 contacts, a compact design of 40.36mm in the longitudinal direction and 7.5mm in the width direction is achieved. The stack height is from 7mm. As a dust prevention measure, the receptacle side is equipped with Kapton tape for automatic mounting, sealing the mating port.

Contec has developed the Ethernet wireless converters "RP-WAH-SR12" and "RP-WAH-SR22," which utilize 920MHz sub-gigahertz wireless (IEEE 802.11ah) to enable Ethernet communication wirelessly even at distances of up to 1 km. Sales began on August 21, 2025. The new products are compact IEEE 802.11ah compliant wireless LAN converters that can be installed in various locations. The new Wi-Fi standard "IEEE 802.11ah," which utilizes sub-gigahertz wireless communication, became available in Japan in September 2022. It operates in the 920MHz band without the need for a license and can be used outdoors. Compared to conventional 920MHz wireless communication, it enables high-speed communication and the establishment of long-distance networks, making it expected to be utilized in large factories, plants, and farms.
